I saw eleven guests on this forum. So, I wonder: Is JFJ too inviting, not inviting enough, a balance of invite or non-invite, or whatever? Are we more like FOX or MSNBC?
What is wrong with this post? The comparisons and such were asking three questions:
- Do we invite people to join the JFJ forums?
- Do we invite people to attack us, purposely come to the site to smear us; regardless of who's wrong or right?
- Do we let believers and non-believers and everyone else (i.e., those who claim to be believers, but we know they're not) express their views fairly and in a balanced way; and attract both good or bad? Or are we like MSNBC, allowing only one view to be expressed and allowing one audience to frequent the forums?

Who said there was anything wrong with the post? Maybe it just
doesn't stir anyones interest. Or maybe the others are like me
and don't watch the news, and don't have a clue the difference
between FOX and MSNBC.

What do you mean by "invite" people to join the forum?
Do you mean literally, where people seek others out to
join, or by presenting a welcoming attitude to those who
first come here?
Same question with "inviting" people to attack you...if
literally, that would be a pretty stupid thing to do. If
firguratively, that is the cost of having an open forum..
people with divergent views can post; some may consider
them an attack, others a jump off point for discussion.
As long as the forum is open and moderated, it is up to
the mods to decide what to post and what not to.
I have always found them fair and balance, and
quick to assist when problems arise.
I don't think it is the place for any particular person
on the forum to decide who is right, who is wrong, and
what beliefs people on the forum must have.
It is the mods place to enforce the rules, whatever they
may be...

Well, someone gave me a negative reputation for it.
I saw eleven guests on this forum. So, I wonder: Is JFJ too inviting, not inviting enough, a balance of invite or non-invite, or whatever? Are we more like FOX or MSNBC?

Gotcha....that wasn't mentioned in your post.
I believe that is wrong-I personaly think reputation
should only be used for positive feed back; anything
else should be discussed on the forum.
I don't know why anyone would have had a problem
with the post...

Well, like I said before, I use negative reputations for blatantly ignorant, apathetic, and wrong attitudes, not willing to objectively look at evidence, etc.

Well then by your crieria I can see why you are getting negative reputation comments from people since you have a closed mind to anyone who disagrees with you...even if they have scripture to back up their point of view.
The word of God says thay His word isn't for any ones private
interpretation....how I or others interpret a scripture doesn't mean that you or others won't have a different interpretation.
You interpret or just take on someones word the trintiy on the other hand I believe in the Apostolic Doctrine of One God doesn't make me any less a Christian than you...I follow Christ as do you I just have a different revelation of who He is than you do.
Reputation should be used primarily for the thread not whether you agree with it or not and in regard to the other comments above I find you to be ignorant and attidunaly wanting..I think the word that fits is analy retentive.

sorry Goy for the last comment having a bad day....but your young and you make a youngsters mistakes. We don't all agree but calling people ignorant or apathetic and having wrong attitudes is not only insulting but gives people the impession that your a spoiled brat who wants everyone to think or act the way you say or else.
Sorry I don't work that way...I say what I feel lead to say from scripture and I know full well that I will be accountable for what I say or write on this forum.
I have been brought up 'Hear O Israel the Lord is One" and nobody is going to convince me that when Jesus said that he really meant three in one. God says what He means and means what He say. Its the devil that starts out with "did he really say that" ask Eve about it....
Bottom line....my reputation with those who agree or disagree is good...they may disagree with me as Baptistic does quite often but at least they respect my point of view and read with an open mind something that you lack.

I'm with you SQ, I don't feel the body of believer's should be concentrating on attacking each other. Reputation ruining is not a very Messiah-like thing.
If we could all learn to love one another we could be a much better witness for the unbeliever's that come here seeking answers. Personally, I would never give someone a negative reputation no matter how many negative reps they give me or how much I disagree with what they say.
Shalom in Him
