To all concerned Jewish and Christian friends.  Please contact the Government of Israel to protest the latest destruction by the Muslim Wakf to the Temple Mount in the past few weeks (August 2007).  Below is my personal letter to this regard.  I hope it motivates you toward action as well.  Thanks.

Sirs,
     I have been reliably informed that "For the past several weeks, workers employed by the Islamic Wakf have been excavating on the Temple Mount...the area universally recognized as the location of the Women’s Court – has been unearthed."

    It is time that the wanton destruction of the Temple Mount cease, and that in the enforcement of laws already on the books, that you convey to the Home Office, a strong request:

1) That the Office of the Prime Minister and those proper Israeli Authorities orders the seizure and shut down the Temple Mount  by military force (best done in the middle of the night) immediately.  It is preferred to have an emergency injunction granted by the Supreme Court of Israel, and a ruling to this effect of the right to do so.

2) That  the official ruling and proclamation is that the Temple Mount area is shut down until further notice.

3) That the entrances, and all portals of access,  of the two primarily Muslim pseudo-claims as holy sites are sealed up, and covered up in tape and plastic...DO NOT USE CRIME SCENE TAPE...and thence shown via live television and video that this is so (to avoid accusations of vandalism, etc.).

4) That the official stance is that the Israeli Antiquities Authority has been given full access and an open ended amount of time to access the damage to the Temple Mount, especially to the area universally recognized as the Herodian Temple Era area called the Court of Women.

5) That the government of Israel makes clear, that this is Jewish soil, and under the specific jurisdiction and authority of the Government of Israel.

6) That the Muslim  Wakf  and any and every "Construction company" associated with the destruction is fined by the state of Israel to a total of 5 million shekels a day, and that going back to the day they first violated the Mount without IAA approval.

7) That for any chance of the Muslims regaining new guide lined restricted privileges to even access Jewish Land of the Temple Mount, under the jurisdiction of the government of Israel, the fine must be paid in full by all offenders for every day of its violation.  In other words, more than one-half billion shekels must be paid to the government of Israel by each and all offenders, or whatever the amount now is...and will continue in accumulation until the fine is paid. Others (such as foreign governments and private citizens) may pay in another's behalf.

8) In the future, the government of Israel will have its own IAA and rabbinic representatives on the Temple Mount, with the authority to restrict all access to whosoever upon the Temple Mount, showing just cause...and the Islamic Wakf will only have jurisdiction within the walls of the Dome, and the Mosques.  The proviso, that they cannot in any way further alter the current state of these sites without the approval of the IAA and a commission of approved archaeologists, Army Corp. of Engineers, and select Israeli government officials.

Please convey this letter on up the chain of command, especially to the Office of the Prime Minister and whosoever's jurisdiction this letter should be received...even the generous assistance of publishing this letter to whole Knesset, if need be.

I'm with you that the Temple Mount destruction needs to stop. But this new plan to divide Jerusalem along ethnic lines seems even more important to stop.

I've been searching through the scriptures, but I don't see this.  I know whatever happens that our friends will eventually build a Temple on the Mount. I did read on Arutz Sheva that, in the initial writing of the plan, the Temple would be under the control of a committee. But that's a little too vague.

If we don't see the dividing of Jerusalem in scriptures, can we assume that it doesn't happen? Or do we assume that the Magog invasion reverses whatever outcomes the dividing of Jerusalem creates? Do you have any thoughts on the possible dividing of Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the Temple vis-a-vis prophecy?

My thoughts fall toward Ezekiel 42:

13 Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.

14 When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.

15 Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.

16 He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.

17 He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.

18 He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed.

19 He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

20 He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.


I have tended to think for many years that the destruction of Damascus in Isaiah 17:1, would be by an unstable nuke given them by Iran; be it triggered accidentally by an Israeli airstrike or by a mishandling by the Syrian/Iranian handlers.  Now, I can read that passage just as in line with a mid-tribulation (Day 1290) invasion of Ezekiel 38, and perhaps moreso than a pre-trib catalyst to rebuilding the Temple.

We can also reach into Daniel, and Jeremiah, and see that this Lebanese Israeli -Greek mix Anti-Christ, who is probably having a mixture of Muslim and Judaism as though a philosophy, leaning toward Mohammedianism from a New Age slant, is accepted by both Jew and Muslim.  He is even looked upon as though an anointed one who comes in his name only, and claims to be a son of David (deceitfully), and no one can verify any such claim.  But like the real Christ said, that deceitful one is / will be  accepted anyway.

But how we get from here, in this present past of September 2007 to Ezekiel 42, having a Temple next to a profane muslim shrine of any type, I don't know.

A favorite phrase of certain Jewish charities is that "evil triumphs when good men do nothing."  Well, it's kinda harder when I don't live in Israel, and am half a world, or so, away.  

Thanks for the interest.  If you wish, you too can at least write a letter of protest to the Israeli consulate.  I hope every reader here will.  Amen.

You made me think of something, though. Doesn't Ezekiel suggest that the Temple Mount will have to lose some height so that Yeshua can come in through the East Gate into the Temple? How far from the East Gate are the Muslims desecrating the Mount?

The course of the invasive trench is like an ugly lamed, with the eastern rift well within 70 feet of the Eastern Wall, almost due east of the idolatrous (or "muslim") Dome...violating first what probably was the court of Women, and crumbling up parts of a single-layer wall foundation that might even date back to Solomon.  

When a Christian Druse Israeli police officer saw those kind of desecrations, he did what he could to stop it...but wasn't able to stop construction for more than a few minutes alone.  Check out the Temple Institute site for more info...sometimes daily.  Write the Prime Minister of Israel and President Bush.  Whatever part we can do, we do in the service of G-D.  Be we Charismatic Episcopal (out of San Clemente, Ca.), Assembly of G-D, Methodist, Baptist, or whatever Protestant Christian, Catholic, Coptic, or Jew...we all need to stand up and make our voices heard today.  

Israel is Jewish by Divine Right because G-D's holy word, the Bible says so.  We are stepping up for G-D, and affirming our faith when we step up for a confirmation of G-D's Covenant word.  By this action, we may at least know who and who among us doesn't have their armor on (as it were).  Stand fast, be strong and of a good courage, and be a repairer of the breach.  Shalom.

I will write. This is definitely wrong. And I agree with you: we must write for the sake of the Jews, for the sake of our consciences, and for the sake of our God.

To Anybody:
I heard that the Israelis had a law that if a religious building was destroyed through a malicious act, it would have to be rebuilt. If this is true, couldn't a case be made that the Muslims have destroyed the remains of the Jewish Temple with their malicious desecrations and that it must be rebuilt? Or, couldn't an Israeli lawyer argue that point and get the Israeli to put a hold on the destruction? Probably it wouldn't apply to the remains of antiquities. Does anybody know the law that I am referring to and what it says specifically?

It appears that the Law of Israel to stop construction, and having great weight to fine - punish - imprison applies to any site in Israel but its holiest place.

The Muslims can have a riot or exhibition, terrorize or harass, destroy or desecrate ancient tombs and shrines, and we are to look the other way as politicians and media spin the of muslims more softly, and reverse the soft to hard for Israeli Jews or Christians.

  Now the Muslim leaders are taking it one step further to once again rip up the holiest site they can think of and profane it.  Once they erase Jewish anything, Christians are always next (e.g., think Lebannon).  

If a group of zealots rise up and vandalize PLA logistics at Temple and throughout their territories, we should probably wag it off as an internal PLA conflict and look the other way.
