That is a truth brother and HE IS The Only Crutch - The One Named Yeshua my Messiah and Lord - who is able to make the crooked and broken walk as a whole human being right into eternity with Himself too!
[font=Tahoma][size=large][color=green]God is not a crutch. A crutch is a crutch and God is God.  To lean of God is not wrong but he is not a piece of healthcare equipment.
God is a solid Rock, a strong tower, a fortress.

A crutch is man made doctrinal statements that seek to comfort those who error.

God is not a crutch to fall back on in the event of our failure. He is the only real eternal power for salvation to everyone that believes what is true. He is the resurrection and the life, the Creator, the only real and true power.

Shalom!
I said God was a crutch in trying to be sarcastic (if that is the right descriptive use) because IF GOD were a crutch as many folks try to make and cause others to think then HE IS THE PERFECT CRUTCH for any human being who cannot walk alone or straight in and of themselves.

God has called Himself our Kinsman Redeemer and our Support and our Helper that is part of WHO HE IS,WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE as The One-United and Living Lord God Almighty.

Likely "crutch" is a matter of semantics and a sort of English play on words (I do not know I am not a English scholar nor a proffesional writer). What ever one may use as a crutch to get through this creations living a crutch is a poor substitute and will never hold up under troubles, trials and tribulations like Adonai does who does both Support us in our needs and Helps us in our weak helplessness to help our selves.

As far as remembering Peace or Wholeness and to proclaim The Kingdom and Name of God well...if one is aliving inside The MEssiah Jesus then those acts of Faith and Love will naturally flow out of that heart and flesh which has come into Wisdom which is of God and His Summation of complete Knowledge and Understanding which is ours in, through and by Faith with Grace inside Yeshua our Lord and Redeemer.

Sis Shamir
God is the healer for our "crutches" spiritual and physical.
To close my words on the "God being a crutch" topic ....
please remember someone queried whether God was a crutch or not.

God/yeshua is ABSOLUTELY NOT A CRUTCH.
He is not a temporary "fix" for any persons disability of Sin or misgaits
of sinning.

What God is IS GREATLY FAITHFUL to His peoples (those who fear His Name and turn to Himself Alone) and LONGSUFFERING (towards all mankind) because Adonai/the Lord HE IS GOOD and Greatly to be Praised. Blessed be Ha-Shem,Yeshua, Adonai The Messiah.

I am happy to lean on him when I am in need. He is my rock and my foundation there is no other!
Ted Turner and Jesse Ventura both kind of said he is but he is definitely not ! If you need Him you need Him, what does it mean to be a crutch any ways?
To define what some folks mean by a crutch, some think only the weak-minded and fools or idiots believe in God and trust Him as Messiah Jesus for eternal life. Some folks think a person is "off their nut" if they think they need Yeshua. Still others try to pscho-analyze or meet God's Spirit using science or their own reasoning.

Puts me in mind of a joke I heard (once):

One day a group of scientists decided they would challenge God to a man making contest. They reasoned "After all, we have all these technological advances and have discovered so much we never knew before, we can do it and win!" So, they threw their gauntlet down at God's Feet, and to their surprize He accepted and they decided on the day and place and time to show off this big shabang.

Finally the day came. The scientists were gathered all together, they had all kinds of gadgets and gizmos and bubbling and buzzing projects going full fire on their tables and lab sets. God just sat there on His Throne with a peculiar smile on His Face and appeared to be looking off in the distance as if He were dozing off or day dreaming.

Finally, the scientists were about to create their man-made man and...they reached down for a hand full of soil...But, God slapped their hands aways and in a gentle but stern voice said "O no you don't, you make your own dirt!".

That joke reminds me of the story of Elijah and the prophets of baal, seems like God had the last laugh then too.
