Dear Cor517,

This has to be understood in the proper context.

Mat11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

But Mat 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Perhaps it is not as easy and light as we think. It is hard because satan is the ruler of this world, and not because Jesus is a hard taskmaster. This world is a hard place to enjoy jesus. Let us strive to enter through the narrow gate  and not get tweaked off the narrow road that leads to it!!!!

Amen,
Nick

ps:one more christian myth- Baptism is just symbolic !!!
Nick,
This almost got by me, I gave up on the Calvinism thread due to the fact if Our Jewish brethren, were to look at some of our posts, they would really see, and yet I say still, the preaching of the cross is foolishness to them that are perishing. Be anxious for nothing but in all things by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, make your requests known unto G-d and the peace of G-d which passes all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Jesus said worry will not add and There is enough evil sufficient for each and everyday. I get your point.

Good counting of the cost of the tower, and locating G-d's house on the rock.

The fact that young Jewish believers (those that are not for Jesus)
might be visiting this site, leads me to sometimes question my IQ in spiritual matters. (If there is such a thing)

By grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of  work's it is the gift of G-d lest any man should boast.
13) Everyone will like you.

Proverbs

[7] When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Contrast:

2 Timothy 3

[12] Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

14.)  Life will be easy.

2 Chron 7

[14] If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
We must be careful how we pray as believers in Christ Jesus.

Pss.66
[18] If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.
