We are to eat kosher as HaShem has commanded it....whether there is
any other benefit or not...

What if your in a situation where the people who invited you in their feasting and they dont have any idea about Kashrut. Should you compromise to eat or what? Are you going to explain it to them or would it be best to eat what is served to avoid confrontation.

I'm a devout Jews for Jesus follower, but in my opinion, the laws of kashrut are just too daunting to follow. I had a ham sandwich with mayonnaise and a glass of milk for supper.

Mayo is parve so no problem...

I know many messianics who keep what they call biblicaly kosher,
but not rabbinicaly.
It is clear in the Torah that ham is forbidden, so how do you
justify eating it? ( I am not insulting you, only trying to understand
your beliefs...

The halachas of kashruth are actually quite simple and easy to follow.. if you believe you are doing HaShem's will by keeping kosher and
observing His Torah, is anything too daunting?

Pastrami is good, many ways to prepare it, each region with it's own recipe. Just a wealth of knowledge proves that God had health in mind with his dietary laws.

let me ask you something. Do you eat lambs brains? Or Calf Lung? Raw Rats guts? Does the idea of not eating it seem too daunting? Or is it easy to not put that food in your mouth?
I imagine your answer is..no its not daunting avoiding those foods. well, the truth is haShem finds non kosher foods just as abhorrent as you more than likely find the above discusting.
It is just as easy to avoind ham, as it is rat guts.
Trust me, I made the switch to Kosher just a couple years ago and it really is not hard at all. Anyone who says it is just does not really worship God, but themself.
Is it too much for God to ask you not to eat a certain thing? I think not. Besides..its for YOUR benefit! Has God ever asked you not to do something that hasnt been for your long term good? Of course not.
I urge you to reconsider, and make the switch to Kosher as the Tanakh and New Test require.
