Haha... Good one... All I know is that I want one! I sent a request for one but no one got back to me yet. I'm being patient... I'll give it another week or so and then I'll (God willing) send another e-mail.
But no, I don't think people believe that the (MTA) are endorsing Jews for Jesus. But they should!
The world would be a much better place if EVERYONE endorsed Christ.

What T-shirts?
I think if we who are in Christ would just wear His Colours more and our own selves less there'd not be so much controversy over what t-shirt some one might wear.

I wear a cross necklace though so that people can see the love and goodness that I have comes from Christ. When you wear something like a shirt or a cross it lets other people know where you stand.

Some people will try to use any excuse to avoid the Gospel.
Wear your colors and wear them proudly.

I wasn't sure if you refering to JFJ T-shirts or that website at www.thosetshirts.com. Here's my take on it.
To Whom It May (And Should) Concern:
I find some of those t-shirts very offensive and giving conservatives and Christians a bad name. Our goal should be, as conservatives and/or Christians, is not to turn off or shun, provoke or stoke, the liberals and non-Christians. Rather, we are to be witnesses to them.
Granted, I myself am not perfect. I had to be a saved Gentile by a Jewish Messiah named Y'shua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah. That's why I myself am a conservative Christian who loves Israel. But through being able to grow in my faith, I realize I need to work on being better to liberals, whether they are Christians or not; because I myself often stumble and fall short of the glory of God.
It is just as a conservative Jew turned complete Jew wrote in numerous books and letters, being that he did not write them but was rather written through: We all are unrighteous and need a Savior (particularly the One called Y'shua Ha Nozri, Ben Elohim); and often do what we ought not, and vice versa. Therefore, let us witness to the liberals as Y'shua witnessed to Israel, who has witnessed to the Gentiles, who have witnessed in turn to Israel. Let us also not cause one another to stumble or fall.
Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas

No!
But I do think that it is all about the workers themselves. What if they are sending a message to the workers that they cannot endorse JFJ.
Make the workers see the MTA as all powerful and representing the last word in the workplace.
that is what I think it is about..
because since when have the riders cause any changes to the MTA? the last rally, picket, sit-in for cleaner graffiti free trains? anybody? Where is the MTA saying the cannot let the public think they endorse trashed transportation??? pick your battles and realize that you have to follow the money. The MTA is just closing ranks and pulling it's own purse strings.
bye for now,
kimberly
