It is more than just genocide.  These are the chosen people so it isn't just Jews who are shaken to their spiritual core by it.

Why didn't the allies bomb the tracks to Aushwitz?  I was thinking that Jewish groups could have pooled money to buy their own fleet of bombers and gotten Jewish pilots to volunteer.

Well, anyway, the point is that who can we help now.  You need the leadership and the creativity to find a solution.

I know this is a painful subject, but to be honest if you did raise your own bomber fleet and bombed the tracks you might see the futility of it.

The real problem is the spiritual one.  The God of the worlds first monotheistic religion seemed to be powerless to save His people, even His religion.

In terms of healing I see it this way.  Killing one person is just as evil as killing a million.  Take the save one person and save the world saying and flip it on it's head.

So if you hate Hitler and want him to die and suffer it is the same as if you killed everyone in the whole world.  Hateing Hitler doesn't make hell hotter for him.  It only hurts you and is messing with your blood pressure and spirituality.

You have to forgive for self pertaining reasons, not selfish ones.   This is like Black rage.  Being upset about something so long ago is hurting you and only you!

There are no super evil people.  Hitler was a garden variety sinner like you are.  He was an extream on the spectrum and you are part of the spectrum.

If we don't stop demonizing people you might be next to grow horns.
I was in a bad mood when I wrote this original post.  I should not have been so harsh.  But if you leave it up, I will say this.  It is a fear of death thing (Hebrews 2:15).  The power of terrorists is fear of death or mass murderers.  But since God has power over life and death really the only horrible horrible sin is to worship and idol.  This is what Yehoshua Joshua the person who conquered Cannan would say.  Perfect love casts out fear (John 3:18).  God so cool because since judgement is so final and absolute He lets us play "good cop".  Moses was always praying for his people asking forgiveness and mercy.  We are to be the same.

Or why fear terrorists so much. If you don't fear them then you don't feel the need to dehumanize and kill them.

This is how to look at it like a saint and not worldly people who think murder is the worst sin.

I want good things to happen for the Jewish people and want to move on.

Most Jewish people have moved on and lived life and love people and are defeating evil this way.

But some Jewish people do seem hung up on holocaust things.

Thinking positive, one good thing that happened was the Navy decided to use wooden boats for DDay that could be quickly produced instead of steel ones.  This speeded liberation by months for sure.

See my post on Higgins boats.
I am the same guy as all these above posts.

I got some of the ideas here from Richard Enright and a book called Forgiveness is a Choice.

A third concept from the book, aside from the spectrum of humanity and forgiving for self pertaining reasons is that we need not carry the injustices of humanity on our shoulders.

How shocked people would be if holocaust survivors invited former death camp guards to an amnesty party!  What better way to celebrate the 50 year aniversary of the liberation of the death camps.

Enright points out that not girl raped ever gets better unless she shows kindness to her attacker.  For example, he had sucess with the most dificult group, incest victems.  They all got better when they helped care for their father on his death bed.

Mercy triumps over judgement.

I had a dream about hasedic Jews last night.  It was first a vision of thier prison court yard.

Maybe we can shift gears with Jewish leadership from the hunt em down break their jaws mentality.  I mean, they got a 87 year old guy.  Why not give him an amnesty party in Israel.  Paul says do not let the sun go down on your anger.

This would take hustpha and shock the world
Yeshua bore the injustices of the world on his shoulders so you don't have to sit there kveching like you need exlax.
