We have recently heard from our Roman Catholic subscribers about Papel Infalibily so I thought it may help to explode this myth if we examined some Papal Heresies. Here are just a few (there are many more which we will look at later) for consideration and perhaps discussion.
Heresy of Pope John Paul II - “Normally it will be in the sincere practice of what is good in their own religious traditions and by following the dictates of their own conscience that the members of other religions respond positively to God’s invitation and receive salvation in Jesus Christ, even while they do not recognize or acknowledge him as their Saviour.” (General Audience of 9, 9, 1998)
Heresy of Ratzinger while still a cardinal, now Pope Benedict XVI - “Q. But could we not also accept that someone can be saved through a faith other than the Catholic? A. That’s a different question altogether. It is definitely possible for someone to receive from his religion directives that help him become a pure person, which also, if we want to use the word, help him please God and reach salvation. This is not at all excluded by what I said; on the contrary, this undoubtedly happens on a large scale.” (Salt of the Earth, 1996, p. 24)
Heresy of Pope Pius IX “The Catholic Church is the temple of God, outside of which, except with the excuse of invincible ignorance, there is no hope of life or salvation.” (Singulari Quidem)

Futher to my previous post, the charge of papal heretics, whilst controversial among some papists, was shared by at least one Pope.....
Pope Adrian VI .... who was known for having attempted to launch a Catholic Reformation as a defence against the Protestant Reformationm also acknowledged Popes Heresies; he is on record as saying, “If by the Roman Church you mean its head or pontiff, it is beyond question that he can err even in matters touching the faith. He does this when he teaches heresy by his own judgement or decretal. In truth, many Roman pontiffs were heretics. The last of them was Pope John XXII.” (Quaest. in IV Sent.)

If you plan to explode the "myth" of Papal infallibility, you might first learn what Papal infallibility is and isn't.
http://catholic.com/library/Papal_Infallibility.asp
Because you don't understand what infallibility is and isn't, you have presented several sets of what seem like very good evidence to you, but are in reality straw man arguements. Nothing you have presented disproves the charisma of infallibility that God has bestowed on Peter and his successors.
Also, just because you don't understand something or it goes against your personal beliefs and interpretations doesn't make that something a heresy.

Heresy of Pope Pius V - “The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.”
(Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Chapter XXVII, p. 218, “Cities Petrus Bertanous”.)

It seems like "Pope" Pius' words testified against himself. Who is the only Pope? See Matthew 23:8-10.
Heresy of Pope Pius V - ?The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.?
(Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Chapter XXVII, p. 218, ?Cities Petrus Bertanous?.)
This quote doesn't fact check. This is an exact quote that appears on several dozen anti-Catholic sites. I am unable to locate any document named "Cities Petrus Bertanous" nor to identify who the Barclay is. Please provide the full name of the Barclay and a birth or death year, a link to "Cities Petrus Bertanous", or a link to the document by Pius V where the words "The Pope and God are the same" appear (in any language).
Scripture admonishes us not to bear false witness. If you believe the above quote to be true, then please prove it.

This quote ...........
DavidJ seems to have some sort of axe to grind in regards the Catholic Church.

Pope Honorius I was not merely “accused of heresy” or “anathematised by the Eastern Churches”: he was anathematised as a heretic by the ecumenical Council of III Constantinople, whose Acts were confirmed by Pope Leo II......
“We foresaw that, together with them, also Honorius, before Pope of Old Rome, is cast out of the Holy Catholic Church of God and anathematized, for we have found by his writings sent to [the heretic] Sergius, that he followed the thinking of the latter in everything, and continued his impious principles....To Sergius, the heretic, anathema! To Cyrus, the heretic, anathema! To Honorius, the heretic, anathema!”

However, he still blindly asks this ridiculous question, "Why? What is the significance of Peter being the only one called "stone"?" I don't think he can read either,...

Pope Honorius I was not merely ?accused of heresy? or ?anathematised by the Eastern Churches?: he was anathematised as a heretic by the ecumenical Council of III Constantinople, whose Acts were confirmed by Pope Leo II......
"... the pope was anathematized by the council as a heretic in the strict sense; but the council, not being infallible apart from papal confirmation, fell in this case into error about a dogmatic fact (in this point Pennacchi was preceded by Turrecremata, Bellarmine, Assemani, and many others), since the letter of Honorius was not worthy of censure. Leo II, in confirming the council, expressly abrogated the censure, according to this view, and substituted a condemnation for negligence only."
"Pope Honorius was much respected and died with an untarnished reputation."
CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Pope Honorius I
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07452b.htm
Bottom line: Leo II confirmed the council's other business, but did NOT confirm the council's actions towards Honorius I. Pope Honorius I was NOT a heretic. Big difference between the truth of what happened and what your anti-Catholic quote from an unknown source infers happened.
[You really should lay off the anti-Catholic mind candy. You keep throwing up old, tired, long discredited arguements. Nothing original. These discredited arguements didn't work then and they still don't work now. Why bother?]
