I got a book of Russian Orthodox prayers and liked it.  This may seem strange since I was a Baptist Seminary student at the time.  But I would use it when I was a security guard and too tired to pray I could just read.  You know, if you stay up all night and feel worn out.

I was in NYC recently and this guy was named Biagio.  He said Biagio was a protector of women.

With this in mind I cringed as I later heard a youth guy talk about a work shop on purity.  I mean, young men are alot of things, but purity is not on top of the average guys want list.

So I was thinking why define what we have in terms of lack or want.

On the one hand the world is so provocative saying get in on the action.

On the other I have my Russian Orthodox prayer in my book that is for the spirit of Chastity.  This is so cool because guys want to be protector of women.  We can define it in terms of what we have.  Jeremiah says can a bride give up her dress?  Jer 2:32

So me as a divorced guy I have something to get back and something to cherish and keep as valuble.  CHASTITY.

Why trade your eyes, two pure virgin daughers for a slut idol whore image in your mind. MT 5:28

Stay sober and keep your daughers your eyes pure and avoid the sorrow analagous to Lots sorrow in Genesis 19.

See my post on Boom Bamela.

The devil tried to lie to me as a divorced guy saying you aint got noting and are missing the action but now I know I got something valuble to protect!

Celibacy seems to emphasize the absence of something.  But Chastity is an important thing we have before God. I just seem to like thinking of it better like this even though I guess it is actually the same thing.
