I would like to know why also because I cannot edit my posts neither can I send a PM or an Email via the PM or Email facility.
When I attempt any of these functions I get the following message...
You do not have permission to access this page. This could be because of one of the following reasons:
Your account has either been suspended or you have been banned from accessing this resource.
You do not have permission to access this page. Are you trying to access administrative pages or a resource that you shouldn't be? Check in the forum rules that you are allowed to perform this action.
Your account may still be awaiting activation or moderation. (Resend Activation Code)

I have the same problem; after a couple of PM's to mods it was
supposed to be rectified, but I still cannot edit posts. But that's
okay; it just makes me a little more careful to make sure a
message is what I want it to be before I post it.....

The moderators reallowed us to PM, but why won't they reallow us to edit our posts; especially since some posts would become extraneous if more could be added to one post?

I noticed that you had edited a post a while back, but I for example have not been allowed to edit, ever. I think only a very few are allowed to edit; you may be (have been) one of those exceptions. Brianroy is another one who can edit his posts, besides the moderators. I think it has to do with loss of control of moderation in the editing phase.

Maybe it adds to much work for them do have to deal
with editing posts since everything is moderated.

Since this is a moderated forum, and editing bypasses the moderation process, editing is not allowed to general membership.
If someone wanted to post in a nasty manner, and they had edit, they could post something which is certain to be approved during moderation and then go back, edit the post to say whatever they wanted to say, bypassing the moderation process.
For that reason, editing will not be made available.

show why allowing editing is not a wise idea....
