Do we have access to PMs anymore? I can't seem to PM anybody.
I talked to JanS, and she said that she did block e-mailing and PMing.

Yes, I thought email was going to be blocked, but
PMing allowed to continue?

Things have been shifting around a bit as we settle some things.
E-mails and PM's can not be moderated, and we don't want you all to experience unwanted private contact.
E-mails have been disabled and will remain disabled since once a person has your e-mail address, there is no way to restrict their communication with you.
PM's, which can be restricted, are a difficult issue since the moderators are unable to see what is happening. At this time, we have permitted PM's to the general membership.
If you receive a PM which is not welcome, ask the sender to cease communications. If they continue to PM, copy the content of the PM and send it to a moderators, along with the sign-on nickname of the person who sent it to you. We will contact the sender and ask them to desist. If they continue sending PM's, (you'll need to repeat the process), we will either remove PM ability from that member, or depending on the nature of the PM's, might ban them.
I am hoping this won't occur very often but if this does become a major issue for moderating the board, we might have to remove the PM ability for everyones comfort.

That seems like a good, well-thought out plan. Thank you.

Thanks for the explanation, and what to do should PM abuse occur....
which hopefully it will not.
I find the PM system very useful and would hate to see it stopped....
