I would rather teach   them about the biblical God then to make believe characters.

The fact that Santa Claus brings them presents, joy and happiness, makes it easier to captivate their attention.

If we are going to preach they'll probably be bored. Unless you have a unusual talent with children. Most priests don't.

a child learns from what his father does , not from what his father tells him about.
Why oh why would you want to relate anything that is pagan to your saviour?

Can't you see what that has done to your religion?

Santa
Easter Bunny

I don't see Judaism with any pagan influences. Jewish children are taught to read from the Torah and all of the Jewish holidays represent either something biblical or of the Jewish people and their hardships and how they overcame them. No fairy tales!

By teaching your child anything but the "truth" you are just prolonging your real message. Just think, when a child does find out that Santa isn't real, they might just think jc is a fabricated story as well.

Now I'm not a believer in jc at all, but I just wanted to explain my point of view for whatever it is worth. If you believe it helps, then you are always entitled to your opinion.

It may seem innoncent, but really it is not.
