Under King Alfonse I understand thousands of Jews became christians. There was a problem with Non Jews being provoked by Jews who were messianic and this in part prompted the inquisition.
The point is it makes people jelous enough without intentionally provokeing.;
Or, nonjews are provoked enough already?
