Since this is a "Jews for jc" forum, I was just wondering how many of the posters are actually Jewish?

It seems that most of the replys I receive are from xtians.

of course it would...every believer who follows Jesus Christ is called a Christian..whether Jew,Gentile or Arab....because there is neither Jew nor Gentile, male or female, bond or free because we are all one in Christ....so if the posts from those of us who are Jewish seem Christian it because that's what we are.

Are you running a census or do you have a question that requires an ashrey Jew to answer?
I think SMR asked this same exact question in the my experience with JFJ area.

I wouldn't have a problem with JFJ being called Messianic Jews and Gentiles for Jesus.  This actually might be better.

MJGFJ!  Then Christian bloggers and nonjewish missionary spouses would be included.

Then the assumed requirement be to identify with national Israel, not actually be Jewish.

SMR is actually the pagan invasion as he tries to foist his works religion called rabinical judaism on Messianic Jews.

I find his rejectionism Palestinian.

We have a win/win solution in Messianic Judaism for all in Yeshua.

What if SMR is right?  Then I can go crawl into my corner and die as an idol worshiping gentile with no explaination for history?

I can never be like a Jew who is born with the torah inside him but me not?

I can sit there on my hands being spiritually inferior, not even allowed to study certain Jewish things even if I was a Noachide?

The totality of Jesus is you are either for or against Him.

People on this blog can twist difficult subjects like Peter says.

It is like they want to redo the council of Jamia or something.

You are going to have to define what a Jew is....Messianics
do not use the same definition that Jews do.
So if someone claims to be a Jew, it does not mean they
are so perceived by the Jewish community...
Sheitl,

You're statement is strange to me.

According to Orthodox, a person is Jewish if their mother is Jewish.

According to Reform, a person is Jewish if either their mother or father is Jewish.

I personally think a person is Jewish if their mother is Jewish, but truthfully, I won't argue with a Reform Jew that they aren't Jewish if only their Father is Jewish, they were raised in Judaism, thinking of themselves as Jewish. I accept them as Jewish.

Messianic Jews don't have any different definition of who is a Jew then the various stances within the Jewish community.

From what I have seen on this forum and others, Messianics tend to
disagree with the maternal definition of who is a Jew. Many will
accept any Jewish ancestry as proof that one is Jewish, no matter
how distant that ancestry may be. Others feel they are "grafted in"
and thereby Jewish. I have seen posts by some who "feel" (but
have no proof) that they are Jewish, have been told by G-d they
are Jewish, or "think" they may have some Jewish ancestry, and
therefore they are a Jew.
However, these tend to be the Messianic Gentiles who make such
claims. I agree with you that Messianics who are halachaly Jewish
do not accept these statements but tend to agree with the
maternal definition of who a Jew is.
That is why I always recommend someone clarify what definition
they accept as to who is a Jew; opinions vary....I think it important
that they know if a person claiming to be a Jew fits their definition,
whatever it may be....

Messianic Jews should- or do you and we not call Issac, Jacob and Esau, the 12 sons of Israel, and the 12 sons' sons Jewish? Their mothers were not Jewish; from Sarah, Rebekah, Rachael and Leah, Tamar and Joseph's Egyptian wife among the other wives, those mothers were gentile.
I think I'm special, I actually met a Person who said, I am Hebrew." This was four months ago +or minus 1 christmas and Rosh Hoshanna. It is a boost in morale to  know the Rosens were Orthodox and started a ministry in the 50's.* Sometimes I post before reading a thread thourouly
thru, yet it seems when you begin to address how a person wants to be identified, some don't identify with our perception of their identity.

*Who cares (whether I can read) For example: the last time I read rules for posting, it said the limit was 5 posts a day. Today I posted 6 times and here I am posting the 7th time in less than a 24 hr. period. Thank God for Grace. Haverim.

Also, my pm function cuts me off from some of the members here. Is this a conspiracy? Maybe they (Rich) allow less characters for more posting? Hmmmm........
