Anybody who can validate ANY of this self proclaimed Rabbi's claims, please submit your evidence here.
What Orthodox community was he a part of?
What Yeshiva's has he attended?
Where did he attend Rabbinical College?
Who gave him Smicha (ordained him)?
Maybe he is too busy joyfully guarding his pearls to mutter a reply to this.
I ll attempt to answer that. Simcha died in the 1990's, so hes no longer around to defend himself. Its almost certainly true that Simcha wasnt a Rebbe in the true Orthodox sense, although I dont have enough information about his formative years in the US. However, in mitigation concerning his life, please consider his legacy for a moment. The small kibbutzim he attempted to set up at Ir Ovot, or Tamar, in the Arava is blossoming into an educational community, supported by Austin University, Texas, and Rochester College, Michigan. Considerable archeological work has been carried out on the site, revealing walls (still standing), commanded to be built by Solomon. Previously it was little more than a rubbish dump and was thought to be of no value. Soon, Jewish students, secular and otherwise, will be able to visit the site, learn about their past and connect it to the future. G_d works in mysterious ways his wonders to perform...
In addition, by coming to Israel Simcha lost his only son, Sgt. Ari Pearlmutter of the IDF, aged 19, in a terrorist bus bombing. He could have stayed safely in Miami and had an easy life. Personally I think he was rather brave, and thanks to him it is now I that travel to the Arava occasionally, to try and carry on what he started, watering, planting, and sowing.
