Interesting article about a terrorist act by Jews against Messianic Jews.

A related article. I found the talkbacks very interesting and revealing.

Sad but truthful.

Very interesting...

Thanks for sharing!
On another forum a poster (who is a Messianic Gentile, so it cannot be claimed she is biased Smile ) who is friends with the family that was
attacked says the latest evidence indicates that it was Arabs who
sent the bomb. That they are experimenting with using Arab Israeli
citizens and the Druse....

Let's wait until the whole story comes out. Don't put everything on the Arabs and nothing on non-Messianics, or vice-versa.

Tell that to the OP here which is blaming Jews.

It may very well be. Let's hope so.

Sheitl, in your opinion, are the negative feelings expressed in the talkbacks indicative of Jews in general, particular Jewish "sects" (forgive me, I don't know what word to use), or individual Jews? From my perspective, it is very hard to distinguish what may be cultural viewpoints of the Jews versus individual viewpoints, especially on the Internet. If it is possible to describe briefly, how do Jews honestly feel about gentile Christians and how do they feel about Messianic Jews? It seems like some Jews are open to Christians (though not witnessing) and other Jews are not open at all. Why is that, or who are we talking about?

I think it is a great question and a good thing to discuss.
However, it is probably better to start another thread rather
than hijack this one.
One disclaimer though....I will not be involved in it if a certain
poster insists on being rude and disruptive. It needs to be a civil
discussion with no flaming of people or beliefs  Smile
Sheitl,

Any updates that you know of?

Thanks!

Care to explain why verbal threats were done by orthodox jews months before the package was sent?
Were they dressed up Arabs going to a synagogue?

Anti missionaries have a nice loop hole when debating in English. I know Hebrew and you don't. This doesn't work in Israel which is why they turn to violence.

However terrible this was it was a very small minority... we must forgive and move on.

Rom 10:13-16 since everyone who calls on the name of ADONAI will be delivered.  (14)  But how can they call on someone if they haven’t trusted in him? And how can they trust in someone if they haven’t heard about him? And how can they hear about someone if no one is proclaiming him?  (15)  And how can people proclaim him unless God sends them? – as the Tanakh puts it, “How beautiful are the feet of those announcing good news about good things!”  (16)  The problem is that they haven’t all paid attention to the Good News and obeyed it. For Yesha‘yahu says, “ADONAI, who has trusted what he has heard from us?”

Sheitl,
I have the highest regard for you. I don't see where you have attacked Christianity, except to defend Judaism or clarify the Jewish perspective, which I would expect. There are some Jews here on the forum that clearly want to argue and attack Christianity--this I also expect, and enjoy--but this is not you, as far as I've seen (and even those others, I find that I like very much).

I understand your concerns. They are legitimate. I'd really like to know the answers to my questions, but you are right: I think some people would misunderstand the conversation and take it as an attack. So, maybe you can answer my questions another time.

But I'd would like to know how the trip to Israel went.
