When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
Age of Aquarius
Aquarius!  Aquarius!

Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revelation
And the mind's true liberation
Aquarius!  Aquarius!

When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
Age of Aquarius
Aquarius!  Aquarius!

Let the sun shine, Let the sun shine in
The sun shine in

Too many esoteric things and too little end time.
Ok....Ok....on a more serious note, I need to let you all know that in addition to being 25% Italian, I am 1/16 Mayan, so you guys are really starting to ruffle my feathers here.

Have a little respect for the ancient ways.
Aren't the Maya's descendants of Olmecs?
Or is it the other way around?

One: Jesus will come when no-one is expecting Him.
He will come like a thief in the night, in terms of the sudden and unexpected nature of it.

He will come like the lightning from the East to the West.

The dates and times are set by the Father and are not for us to know.  But in the meantime we are to be His witnesses, in Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria, and to the ends of the Earth.

As Paul says, there is no need to speculate, for we know very well He will come like a thief in the night.  (Hmmm, so much for Paul not knowing what Jesus taught!:razzSmile

Therefore let us get on with living for Him and forget about what the Mayans think, or the Celstine prophecy.  Stick to the Word of God.  It's the safest way, and prevents Christians from making total fools of themselves.

"One: Jesus will come when no-one is expecting Him."
The Angels told Lot the day, that day, and the hour, immediately, so this fits Luke 17:30 where Jesus says as in the days of Lot. They didn't know back then but right before we will know, at least see it is near right at the door. Mt 24:32

"He will come like a thief in the night, in terms of the sudden and unexpected nature of it."

If you look at the surounding verses it says the wicked don't expect it but the righteous do, it is like birth pains, and the whole pint of this is for it NOT to "overtake like a thief" v4.

"He will come like the lightning from the East to the West."
You think this is the rapture but it is really about the end time David Prince and the pillar of fire we follow to Jerusalem like in an Exodus II.

"The dates and times are set by the Father and are not for us to know.  But in the meantime we are to be His witnesses, in Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria, and to the ends of the Earth."
Agreed, but if God wants to save your life don't let our theology get in the way.

"As Paul says, there is no need to speculate, for we know very well He will come like a thief in the night.  (Hmmm, so much for Paul not knowing what Jesus taught!:razzSmile"  You already said this and I already showed you the text says the opposite of what you mean.

"Therefore let us get on with living for Him and forget about what the Mayans think, or the Celstine prophecy.  Stick to the Word of God.  It's the safest way, and prevents Christians from making total fools of themselves."

I have no idea what the celestine prophecy is.  There is a big difference between it and things in creation, General revelation, God's book of nature the Astrologers used to know when Jesus was born as I already said on this thread.
Sounds like a stubborn refusal to be obedient to Jesus' statement that the times and dates are set by the Father and are not for us to know.  Jesus' coming like lightning is not the Rapture but the full Parousia, the return of Jesus.  As for the days of Lot, that has nothing to do with what you think- it is to do with people getting along with their normal business then getting hit with judgement.  Only this time the Christians will not get the timing given to them as Lot was given.  We'll be aware, certainly, to be alert through how we live, but don't misuse that to try to wriggle out of Jesus and Paul's commands not to speculate on the timing.  Jesus' comments on it being like the days of Lot therefore have nothing to do with telling us when the Second Coming is, for as He said, He Himself did not know yet you claim we can.

We've got to get on with the job.
So, goonerman, does that mean you don't believe in a raptue? Please respond to my thread rapture...true or false if you don't mind. Thanks.
Goonerman-This thread is about 2012, not the Mayan Calendar.  Even NASA and the History Channel are concerned about 2012.

OK, say it isn't the second coming on 2012, fine.  But a cavalier attitude about getting burned up by fire from heaven is not adviseable.

I am glad you are Biblical but want you to move a little towards the close right at the door feeling of Matthew 24:32ff.

Perhaps you don't get what me and Krisi are asking, but I take it that you believe in the rapture.

I don't.  I think Jesus comes back as a pillar of fire, and not to beam us up like Scotty.

Getting out of the way of the fire is up to you like it was for Lot.

I don't want to go all the way and be a date setter like Harold Camping.

But I do take the 2012 stuff seriously.
I believe in some kind of Rapture, yes, but even so, is Jesus going to come as a fire and attack [i]Christians[i]?  Why would He do that?

Read the text about the days of Lot again- Jesus describes the conditions as to the complacency of unbelievers getting on with normal lives then getting hit.  Remember, in Revelation the believers are free from the plagues, just as Israel was free from the plagues on Egypt.

What sort of a Jesus would attack His own followers?
