When I went on an evangelism trip to Russia in the Summer of 1993 after the fall of the Soviet Union I was in a prision in Tomsk. After the evangelistic service I was like a rock star for the first time in my life. Blunt razor faces smiled crowding in all around me to reveal some gold teeth.
All they had to give me was a pack of hand made playing cards. This may seem like a weird best present to ever recieve. These cards smelled like dozens of men who needed to take a bath.
From their perspective, our visit might have been the best thing to ever happen to them. But all they had were the smelly little cards to give me. And this is why I loved it!
This is why it was the best present I ever got.
Being part of G-d's creation.
Nice question, Chad.
I think I received my most memorable gift the year my husband and I started dating. The Christmas holidays came around, and he left to spend Christmas with extended family in another part of the state. I missed him very much, but his family is very close and it was customary for them to spend holidays together.
Well, he surprised me by returning early - to spend Christmas with me. Wow, I don't remember the wrapped gift he gave me that year, but I sure do remember the 'gift' of his presence.
It was the beginning of the "leave and cleave" thing, and he is still my sweetheart today.

ps love your story, Chad! Yours too Bob

Chad, Yeah, I know what you mean. Of course, besides Jesus, there are some gifts that are great, not because of monetary value, but because of who gave you the gift. There have been too many blessings in my life to try to pick just one, but they were definitely all because of Y'shua.
The real healthy smiles on faces of other Human beings. It they realy show that it's good to see you, or if they are satisfied in a healthy way... or understand the deeper way to reach Truth.
The day I met Yeshua. I was never the same from that day forward. But I loved your story, Chad. There are gifts more precious than gold, and I'd say that was one of them. Blessings....
Being at a Bible school for the past 6 years, I learned that we can't spiritualize everything! If we did, every one of us who believes in Y'shua would have the same answer to this question. So, to make it a little more practical, I love my car! Her name is Vera. She's an oldy, almost as old as I am! She's 20 years old, me, 23. My friend Hannah gave her that name, because it is the Russian word for faith. She said, "Holly, you got your car by faith and you drive your car by faith. You should name her Vera!" She said that because one day I prayed for a car, then ten days later my neighbors, who had no clue about that prayer, gave their white 1989 Honda Accord to me 100% free as a gift from Jesus! They didn't say it was a gift from Jesus, but I know it was!!!! It doesn't happen every day that you pray for a car then someone just hands the title to you a week later! That prayer was from my heart as a result of deep frustration and disappointment, so to me this gift was more than just a car. It was the faithfulness of God telling me that He sees my frustration and He loves me, and will take care of me.
The Gift of the Baptism Holy Ghost (Yeshuah In you) is BY FAR the best Present I ever received!
(Speaking in tongues for the first time is incredible)
But the understanding of Salvation and perfect knowledge of Yeshuah in you, that comes at that exact moment is even better!
Glory!
