Stein doesn’t reference the United States’ shameful foray into “Social Darwinism” back in the 19th Century, but he does expose the virulent bigotry that drove Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger to espouse birth control. Her goal was the unabashed control of the lower races. And, while I personally have no objection to the use of birth control, one can’t help but think of the slippery slope that has led to our abortion-on-demand culture.
I consider myself a reasonably astute person, and I’m well aware of the growing bias against Christians and Jews in the U.S. and worldwide. But I was shocked at the hateful anti-God, anti-supernatural rhetoric throughout the film from the proponents of evolutionary biology. And Stein is brilliant in getting past the rehearsed scripts and drawing out people’s real agendas.
