I am not a Jew but am looking for answers--I have felt for some time the Christian Church (I was raised Presbyterian) in the Pauline tradition is not the Church Jesus intended--I stumble across information about the Nazoreans (the church run by Jesus brother James in Jerusalem after the crucifiction) and wordered if Jews for Jesus was a product of that church, and if perhaps Jews for Jesus beliefs might be closer to the teachings of Jesus--than Paul's transformed church. I believe in Jesus as the Messiah and that he dies for our sins--I just have alot of trouble with the transformation of Jesus teachings into the Christian Churches as they exist today. So I was interested in more information about the foundation of Jews for Jesus church.
Jews for jesus was actually founded in 32 ADToungue---JUST KIDDIN,

Most Messianic Jewish congregations and Messianic congregations would agree with you.  Both groups seem to be searching for a way to follow Jesus as he taught before Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. changed it.  Everyone has their view of what changed but most groups are a good place to start.

Also I would add before geting any groups that are anit-paul or etc.... who try to quote church fathers who spoke against paul, read the scriptures themselfs and see how james peter etc.... taken to paul.

some bible verses for you.

Gal 1.22   Gal 2.6     2 Cor 12.2   Acts 15.2   Barnabas, in Acts 9.26   James and the elders, in Acts 21.17  Peter, in 2 Peter 3.14

We need to remember who opinion is inspired? The church fathers or  the apostles in scripture?

The council of Nicea as either unifying, changing or creating Christianity.  If it unified they decided to take a direction away from Judaism in which Jesus followers came from.  The idea of the trinity started during this time. Easter was chosen to follow the pagan calendar instead of the Jewish calendar and the statues created around the churches resemble pagan Gods. This is all evidence that the route they took went in the direction of denying the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

1. Please point me to churches have images of pagan gods.
2. About jewish calendar are you aware of this?

“The rabbis taught: For the following three things a leap year is made: because of the late arrival of spring; of the unripeness of tree-products; and for the late arrival of Thkhupha (the equinox). When two of the three things occur, the year is made intercalary; but not if one of them.” (Babylonian Talmud, Tract Sanhedrin (Supreme Council), Chapter 1, p. 25).

3. The Trinity  was not formed in 325 ad  You need to read The writings of The apostolic Fathers who study under The direct guidance of the original twelve apostles of Christ and also clelement

here is a site for you to look at the writings of the apostolic fathers.

http://christiandefense.org/

what I find is They find jesus being God and The father and also the Holy ghost but we also find in their writings they Believe they are not all 3 one and the same person.

I'm not saying There words alone prove The trinity but it does prove that the argument The trinity was form in 325 ad is just a  myth.
Sugarman Please quote the apostolic fathers directly the source to make your point.
