RE:
I guess all the Catholics that get baptized at birth have nothing to fear then.

As soon as they get baptized in Jesus name they are on the path to G-d hence no need to worry anymore.

Let's get saved you people. Get baptized in Jesus name and then murder, lie, betray, steel, indulge, etc etc... do everything you like - You are already saved.

Of course I'm just being sarcastic. To me this thread it's pretty pointless.

If the point was to teach about salvation in Jesus name... you're far from the truth.
According to you not according to scripture!

I just told you more things then you ever knew about what baptism in Jesus name can do for a person and you reject it.

You wish to mock me then go ahead.

Sinning on purpose will could still send you to hell so work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

The Catholics have no part in this baptism as they have created their own way which is against scripture...anyway moving along.

The thread is not pointless it is the MOST important thing someone should be talking about --SALVATION -- the HOWS and the WHYS.

I always said that baptism is just the beginning to salvation as no one is saved until the end when Christ accepts or reject us for whatever reason.

But, he did command it and he commanded other things as well so be careful..this is NOT a joke and I take what I say very seriously out of fear for my life.

I teach what was taught before man contaminated the truth.

Mohammed and Joseph Smith claimed the same thing. Big whoop dee doo. You do not rightly divide the word.

Wilby does not represent Jews For Jesus (and neither do I) but just as a point of reference, I have posted links to other areas of JFJ for Wilby that disagree with his doctrines and conclusions, and he disagrees with JFJ too.

Understand that this is an open forum, and that not all posters (including myself, necessarily) reflect the views of JFJ.

RE:
Thanks for your concern but I do not need preaching from someone that knows less than me about Jesus and what was his purpose on earth.

BTW, I wasn't mocking you but making a point.

Here is another statement for you Ripley

If any person teaches salvation other then what I have taught then his message is from hell.

Jesus said, Paul said, Peter said, Phillip said, all the apostles and many other have said;
Quote:

BELIEVE AND BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS FOR THE REMISSION OF THE CURSE AND ALL YOUR SINS AND BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST.

Anything other then this in regards to salvation is of hell.

You don't think so!

Mark 8
29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.

30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

32 And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.

Denying baptism is the same as denying the cross for through the cross comes our salvation and baptism is our connection to the cross. The ONLY way to apply the blood shed on the cross to your life is through baptism into Jesus name. Like I said before You need to apply the blood to your life for salvation. On the day of passover if the blood of the lamb was not applied to the door post then death would have prevailed. Believeing in the shed blood is not enough -- APPLY THE BLOOD!

33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Denying salvation by NOT following Christ is of Hell/Satan

Matthew 19:28
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Washing by regeneration means to be cleansed of ALL sin --and more NO CURSE!

Follow Him by ...HOW?

Romans 6
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

I don't care about Mohammed and Joseph Smith or anyone else other then the teachings of the Doctrine of Christ--The Fath -- as we are saved by The Faith -- His Doctrine and not by personal faith.

Deny this and you deny Christ!!
Thanks Wilby,
at one hand I like your puritism...

But if I might...
Still as commanded Jews have all kind of purity-rules and baptisms. Some go before every Shabbath completely in Running water, before a marriage. Etc. Also before the 3 big festivals we where commanded to do so...
Gentiles who convert to Judaism are also baptised:
I don't see a Christian doctrine in that... So don't claim that Baptism is exclusive to Christianity or a doctrine...
besides that baptism came instead of circumsision... or is equal to it??? That will be a long story to explain.

So You deny that The Almighty bought the nation for himself? With all the promisses for the next generation (often written promisseses for all eternity)? O.K. if you are against that it doesn't sound very scripticall to me...
If I am saved by that? Well In Judaism there is not a big claim that we are saved by our works, of just because of doing the Law (as NT might claim). But if The Almighty will start to break his promisses? That would be something....

How do you know that I not went throught the waters then or now? Are you a prophet??? Or a Judge??? Or Jewish???

I get very upset when someone start to make unjust or speculative judgements if he doesn't know if it is true...  Speaking bad about others is allready not a nice caractertrade, but if you don't know if it is true... That might lead to a behaviour of killing other people... That might even be worse than somebody who dies himself.

I'm stating that I think!! that Jews don't need a Second Baptism.
(I'm still searching the teksts. You claim to know everything allready?)
Why should HaShem buy something he allready bought?
also Noach found salvation in the Lords eyes... The word salvation where Yeshua comes from is not a doctrine found out 2000 years ago...

O.K. hope to learn new things instead of some dogma's... we will see.

Nope The emssage from hell is when somone teach we have anything to do with salvation.

wilby You do not even understand The apostles separate Believeing from baptism.

again and again they said believe onto Jesus christ and you shall be saved.

The apostles baptism them AFTER there confessing which leads to salvation romans 10:91-10 The believe confess The holy spirit did the rest and water baptism testify on one salvation, not what literal saves the person.

again wilby  1 pet 3:21 says clear not to clean our filth from our flesh.

water baptism does not literal clean us from our sin that happens when  one confess unto Chirst.

water baptism is the symbolic figure of  what The holy ghost does.

Habakkuk and Paul agree on this. Their word from God bear witness to

faith in God. The New Covenant seals God's promise by the blood of

Christ, not only to Abraham the Father of the Jews, but to US as

Gentiles as well.

Not sure to what you are referring to but when He died on the cross those that have followed Him in the regeneration have been bought with a price--that price is His sacrifice on the cross.--See bottom of page

I really don't mean to offend but if you wish to be saved by the N.T. salvation commadments then you need to let go of all this O.T. Jewish talk. Sorry but it is finished. Remember when Christ was on the cross and He said it is finsihed? Well a ligtning bolt struck the vail of the temple and rent it in twain. WHY? Because the Holy Spirit no longer dwells in buildings but now in the N.T. we are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

I hear that you are very very Jewish--meaning that you are still living in the old ways.

There is a new and better way now--all taught by Jews, except Paul, a Bejaminite.

Your heritage is wanderful indeed but so was mine too, but that won't save me.

You are a child of Abraham

Luke 3
7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Forget Abraham, forget your roots, now repent follow Christ in the regeneration.

He tried to tell the Jews, He really did try but, like YOU, they clinged to their past.

Bought with a Price

1 Corithians 6
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Speaking to the ones already baptized into Jesus and saved by His blood.
