The holy spirit seals us as soon as WE believe! period 1 eph 1:13

The only step man needs to take is Believeing onto Jesus and following his commands.

which a true believer will follow since the holy spirit give us the will and desire.

Ephesians 1:13 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

[A Public Domain Bible] [KJV at Zondervan] [Zondervan]

13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

This verse shows very Clear The only step we need to take for salvation is this.

in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Salvation comes from at the moment we Believe.

The actions of our belief do not saved.

The bible even labels the actions after one belief as works in Ephesians.

Works do not leave to salvation but Believing In jesus.

the works testify to our faith james 2:24 but do not save us there self.

To understand  james you must understand a true believer will be literal change. They will have the will and desire to do Good works that we were created in Christ jesus.

take this verse for  food.

Ephesians 2:10 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

Public Domain
[A Public Domain Bible] [KJV at Zondervan] [Zondervan]

10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

When does the works come in?   simple right after having faith in the lord Jesus Christ.

Following jesus commands come after the fact if you were sincere in your belief about jesus .

Wilby, Sorry if I misunderstood, but it is easy to do when a person is speaking in 'First-person,' and tosses in an unmarked quote, then continues in the 'FP' without pause.

I know I desire more than I deserve, but it seems to me that all of you have strong beliefs in what you say (monolog), and are stone-deaf to what anyone else espouses.  That is ok, though,  I am learning much about man, and what he can do with the words of God, and not blink an eye.

One thing that keeps popping into my mind is the warning, Yaushuah proclaimed, something like:  Many will come saying Here He is, or there He is,,,,or: I am the One,,,,,Follow Me...   As I understand, He will not 'touch' his foot to thie earth, until He sets His foot upon the Mt. of Olive's, and the Mt. splits into a North and a South, opposed halves.  Therefore, someone is in error.

Just a thought.

mark 16:16 is not in any of the oldest greek scripts we have.

clement who was a friend of the apostles Never refers to any knowledge of this verse.

The Church fathers also did not know any mark 16:9-20 but they knew the ending which was written by the apostles mark 16:8.

Funny that since I have a Greek Bible hey even translated into English...Greek on one side...English on the other and lo and behold there it is Mark 16:16 exactly as written above.
Maybe its you who is wrong....

You should always use scripture when quoting a verse.

I have not seen anyone claim to be anyone other then stating what they believe. BUT one thing I will say is that I ONLY quote scripture unlike some who quote other people/churches/web sites beliefs.

I quote Christ and I quote the deciples and the apostles directly from scripture. No links from me to a salvation prayer or bible study manuals from a modern religion.

Follow His commands like He said--follow me in the regeneration.

which a true believer will follow
Holy Ghost is a gift from the Father in which 99% of the time comes after baptism into Jesus -Acts 2:38

Ephesians 1:13 (King James Version)
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

It is of uttermost importance that you understand that when Apostle Paul and the others write scripture they are sending these letters to other people and churches that have been baptized into Jesus and have been filled with the Holy Ghost. A church is a person that has been baptized into Jesus --these letters are sent to other churches. Therefore when reading these letters you can now better understand what is beind said.

In verse 13 he is saying to the church(ones already baptized) In whom(Christ) ye trusted after you heard the word of truth, The Doctrine of Christ, in whom(in Christ) you believed, you were then baptized and sealed with the Holy Ghost as promised by Christ Himself.

Whoever told you that getting baptized was our own works is lying. Being baptized is a commandment of Christ --He did the works, we just need to follow Him in the regeneration.

To understand  james you must understand a true believer will be literal change. They will have the will and desire to do Good works that we were created in Christ jesus.
We are changed ONLY when we become new creatures in Christ and again believe, be baptized, then receive the Holy Ghost ALL scriptural.

Just believing and confessing is not enough but it is the first step.

Ephesians 2:10 (King James Version)
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
This scripture is saying That we(ones that followed Him in the regeneration) are a result of Christ's good works done on the cross. And that we should follow Him.

When does the works come in?   simple right after having faith in the lord Jesus Christ.
Having personal faith in Christ means that you believe that what He said will come to pass. Therefore once we follow Him in the regeneration we have faith that the regeneration will save us according to His words.

Following jesus commands come after the fact if you were sincere in your belief about jesus .
Believe and trusted after you heard the words of salvation and then you follow His commandments by following Him in the regeneration.

The only step man needs to take is Believeing onto Jesus and following his commands.

This is done by the holy spirit alone willby

willby If you study acts 2:38 you notice two things.   One he is talking to jews no gentles at the time

second

Repent [plural] (and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, [singular = after being forgiven and Holy Spirit received],) for the forgiveness of your sins [plural]. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit [plural]

willby first off this makes no sense.

read the verse very clear, does anyone get baptism first without hearing The gospel?

The fact is they believe The gospel which sealed them with The holy spirit Then was baptism.

Whoever told you that getting baptized was our own works is lying. Being baptized is a commandment of Christ --He did the works, we just need to follow Him in the regeneration.

wilby first off mankind is so lost that it does not even look for God.

The scripture says Jesus choose you not you choose jesus.

You need to be literal change to do anything that requires to please God.

Having faith and following Him.    Since a sinner is not looking for God it

no sense to say a sinner must be baptism to be saved.

This would mean that The sinner would have to have faith and try to please God  in baptism before salvation.

The works come after one is literal change and baptism it self from what The man does is an act of symbol of what the holy ghost already did.

And that we should follow Him.

wilby I fail to see where to see this passage mention The work that Jesus done on the cross.

i see this verse as works WE will do when one is truly saved.

When does the works come in?   simple right after having faith in the lord Jesus Christ.
Having personal faith in Christ means that you believe that what He said will come to pass. Therefore once we follow Him in the regeneration we have faith that the regeneration will save us according to His words.

couple of things is eph 1;13 says clear one is  sealed with the spirit once he believe.  The Holy spirit is what sealed us and baptism is what symbols what the holy spirit did for us.

1  eph 1;13 is not talking about already believers because Then The verse it self shall make no sense.

Like I said before it says you sealed after hearing The word of truth and believeing it.

if this was already believers  then I would of suggest that they were sealed before hearing The word of Truth and this make no sense.

One is not saved before hearing The gospel but after.

Following jesus commands come after the fact if you were sincere in your belief about jesus .
Believe and trusted after you heard the words of salvation and then you follow His commandments by following Him in the regeneration.

Now your saying one thing is saying another.

I thought these were already saved people according to what you said in 1 eph 1:13 already baptism?

Your adding to 1 eph 1:13 it does not say you are sealed with The holy spirit after you heard and believe it and also was baptism.

It says after One believe it. they are sealed with the spirit of truth as sonn as they believe.

This is shown to be true in acts.

Also wilby baptism the word it self is an noun.

a noun place person or Thing.

verb- somone taking literal action.

baptism is an noun it symbols what The Holy Ghost (verb) literal  does for us.
