since The literal changeing comes from the literal action of the holy spirit This action would be consider a verb.
And since baptism is a noun place person or thing it an symbol of the literal work that the holy spirt does.
Ephesians 4
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
So salvation should ONLY be based on what these (apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers) men have to tell us. So based on the men in the bible, taking all scripture into account -- WHAT did they tell us to do? You should have at least 10 or more verses to back up your beliefs--you can NOT use just one scripture ONLY--many scriptures should support your beliefs on salvation.
How about this:
Why did Jesus come to earth and why was He the perfect sacrifice for sin?
What did Jesus mean when He said to follow me in the regeneration? Base your answer ONLY with scriptures. So based only on scripture what possibly could this mean?
If somone in bible times was a believer what did they do next?
Why get baptized--what does it do for you? --base your answer on scripture.
If the scriptures say when we are baptized we are buried into His death and when we are raised it says we are raised in the likeness of His resurrection -- is this how we follow Jesus in the regeneration?
Is baptism salvation based on the bible scriptures?
The Father gave us a gift for being baptized--what is this gift?
Being born of water and spirit is a prerequesite for before you can enter the Kingdom of God and it says we must be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost -- Is this what being born again means?--look up regeneration in the dictionary.
The devils believe in the Son of God and so do the angels YET the bible says that niether of them can have what is being offered to us--why is that if baptism is not salvation?
Who said: Have you received the Holy Ghost since you first believed?
Did he rebaptise them into Jesus? Did he then and Only then lay hands on them to be filled with the Holy Ghost?
Why did he rebaptise them?
Why not just lay hands on them and fill them with the Holy Ghost?
Why did Jesus say in Matthew 28 TO BAPTISE if baptism has little or no meaning to so many?
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: YAHUSHUAH
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 3
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved
22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
They baptized in water only at this time. The promise of the Father came at pentecost 50 days after the resurrection when man could actually be filled with the Holy Ghost/Christ.
Except a man be born of the water and of the spirit he can NOT see the Kingdom of God.
The people believed in the salvation doctrine and they were baptized in Jesus/YahuShuah's name.
Believe, Repent, be Baptized, receive the Holy Ghost--in this order
This my friends will put you on the road to salvation and the road is narrow -- few therebe that find it.
Acts 2:38
Peter preaching to the Jews then and for ALL people now.
Repent of your sins and live for Christ for He is risen. Be Baptized in the name of Jesus/YahuShuah for remision of the curse and all your sins. Planted in His death and we Rise out of the water in the likeness of His resurrection being filled with the Holy Ghost-the promise of the Father.
You are now a new creature in Christ--
You are now a member of the Body of Christ--
You are now the Church of Christ,
You now have a new name-you are in the family of Christ/YahuShuah--
You are now joint heirs with Christ--
Christ is in you and you are in Christ.
This my friends is true salvation--
Matthew 28 This may be Jesus last commandment to the deciples.
17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
That name is His name--YahuShuah/Jesus, it is the ONLY name whereby we MUST be saved.
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
How about this:
Why did Jesus come to earth and why was He the perfect sacrifice for sin?

Who said: Have you received the Holy Ghost since you first believed?
Did he rebaptise them into Jesus? Did he then and Only then lay hands on them to be filled with the Holy Ghost?
Why did he rebaptise them?
Why not just lay hands on them and fill them with the Holy Ghost?
This question was already Answer in previous Post.
I do not know why it hard for you to understand indwelling of the spirit and baptism of the spirt back then.
Amen.
Because it a command unto obeying after One is saved. again look up baptism it an noun look up verb it means The action. The holy spirit is what take action to seal us not water baptism.
willby When Jesus beath onto The disciples and said receive The holy spirit, did they really recieve It. was it not indwell in Them? But not upond them until pentecostal?
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: YAHUSHUAH
willby Let me give you a free lesson on grammar.
You trying to make Jesus literal all 3 but that does not fit with The grammar of scripture.
two words AND THE.
First off when you read and The father and The son etc.... is not connecting all the articles being The same as in making God a role player.
The artcles which it is written separates each person thus each being it own article.
But all 3 are one in essence.
Like water.
we got vapor liquid and ice all 3 not totally the same but still are one in essence since it still water.
What did Jesus mean when He said to follow me in the regeneration?
Wilby, you can quote 10+ scriptures if you want, but it is useless for your purposes if you cannot get the correct meaning of them.
You have misinterpreted this scripture you refer to, where Jesus is telling His 12 disciples they will occupy 12 thrones judging the twelves tribes of Israel. This has already been addressed in another thread.
willby in acts 2:38 pleas get The grammar correct.
Peter replied, 'Repent [plural] (and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, [singular = after being forgiven and Holy Spirit received],) for the forgiveness of your sins [plural]. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit [plural].'
