To JFJ,

As I was browsing my usual web pages today for thought-provoking news, commentaries, etc., I came across an article regarding Jackie Mason filing a lawsuit against your organization.  At first I didn't think it was real, but after reading the press releases from reliable sources and your own website, I was deeply troubled and compelled to comment.  JFJ has tried for many decades to assimilate jews into their collective.  As many times we jews have tried over and over again to implore you all to stop trying to "save" jews, it almost seems the proverbial statement of "going into one ear and leaving out the other" rings true, but I digress from my objective.  The bottom line is that, although your pamphlet was seemingly in "good nature", it nonetheless indirectly posed inaccurate information regaring Jackie Mason.  Jackie is a jew, period.  Jackie doesn't believe in any way that j'sus is the messiah.  He doesn't ascribe to or associate with christian doctrine.  You wrongfully used his celebrity status to gain new converts, and have falsely accused him of being a christian.  This is borderline Lashon Harah (evil, idle speech), and is a serious offense in the eyes of HaShem our G-d.  I ask that you send Jackie a formal and public apology, and that you humbly seek G-d's forgiveness.

Respectfully

A
First of all, I really believe that you should have the courage to read the Posts on "Why I believe", and if you are a pursuer of truth, please also go to www.DODresources.org (Day of Discovery - a Sunday Morning Show that is actually filmed in Israel), and you may request a DVD Copy of a show (3-4 part) done by a Conservative Old Testament Jew.

In regards to what they have written about Mason, I believe they should have written to, and sent him a pamphlet to review -- just in pursuit of all integrity. Secondly, I do believe that their heart was right, just as you do (at least I think that is what you are saying) and Mason is a PUBLIC FIGURE just like the President, or Tom Cruise, and that you CLEARLY were only using his PUBLIC LIKENESS to make a point w/ a tongue-in-check approach - NO malice intended.  Thirdly, I know that most of the people judging JEWS FOR JESUS are huge hypocrites -- they have no problem seeing good truthful, and pursuers of justice  Conservatives like Bill O'Reilly, President Bush, Michelle Melkin, or Ann Coulter LAMPOONED w/malice very much intended, and literally LIED
about in various media (Talk Show, Comedy Central, SNL, fake Web Sites, Magazines).

Take Care, and God Bless!

By no strange coincidence I found myself at the third temple site Aish Ha...
which had a small blurb from Jackie Mason. I always thought Jewish comedians were cool, poking fun at religion in general. Boy, I sure do offer sentiments and condolences for those offended in the so-called scandal. I can speak from experience that most of the world is out for a buck, and I am damn well sure you can't get rich working, unless people like you. I think this was the case and still is in this instance.

As an artist, images are misread, misunderstood and generally can become objects of scorn or even ridicule...

As a matter of principle, jfJ faces nothing which has not already been settled by their leadership.

Keeping in mind their primary concern, people are drawn in for a reason and the message goes forth.
