Primogenit,
Why does it matter if he were black or green or striped?

Well, prom, not that it would matter to me one way or the other what "color" Moses was, or Jesus for that matter, BUT the one time racism is brought up in scripture is when Moses takes as a second wife (after becoming widower) an Ethiopian (black) woman, and Miriam and Aaron gossip about it. What did God do? "Hey, Miriam and Aaron, come here for a sec.... you think white/light skin is so great? Here ya go. (leprosy)" [my paraphrase] Numbers 12
That leads me to believe that Moses was not "black"... but like I said, so what?
Me? heinz 57 white girl... who cares what color anyone is? There is only one race- human. We are different colors like flowers in a field. Beautiful, all.

Ditto on that; "There is only one race- human"
Out of all the millions upon millions of spieces in the world, there is only one, one that has the ability of free will to actually "think" things out and doesn't rely totally on instinct.
That would be the "human" race.

And that is because we are the sole creature on earth made in the image of our Creator. Amen.
Incredible to attempt to fathom.
(Of course, I know you all know this, but it is incredible and wonderful to think about.)

If Moses was 1 of the greatgrandsons of Adam and Eve... than he was 1 of the almost original people. Except that all forefathers/mothers died during Noach's flood. But the scincolour afterwards is a Mix of Noach's, his Wife, and the 3 married daughters from other families... etc.
Well I don't think they had Kaukasian skincolours....
Maybe HaSham created skin after they ate from the fruit (what skincolour had that fruit actually?). And what skincolour had the snake when he still had legs???
Skin (in hebrew: OR) they only saw after eating from the fruit... before their outside of the body was OR (OR = hebrew for light)...
So temporary when Mozes came down from the mountain... his skincolor was Light AGAIN... (rays of LIGHT).
And if Aron had worn pink sunglases he might have written down, I saw Moses with his pink skin...
What do I know... I was not there, And HaShem nor Moses found it necessary to write down in Torah.

the so-called original people?

And this term, BTW, is a racist term, forwarded by Darwinism and Eugenics, the likes of which Hitler and Margret Sanger (mother of Planned Parenthood) espoused.
If you thought it was a compliment, guess again. (Or maybe read and learn.)

The children of Israel were not black.
Moses was a Levite as was His brother Aaron and Aaran ministered in the Tabernacle that was established by Moses through God's commandments.
I don't think the Pharaoh of Egypt could mistake a black man for his sisters son. I mean he was shocked to learn Moses was Hebrew ---now a black man?
Remember--let my people go--Moses's people, the Hebrews.
Come on people--take a stand for truth when someone states a lie.
Wishy washy people will believe anything as God loves everyone right?

RE:
Good point you come up with fellow searchingmyroots and Chow_woman.
Just like you and many of us here, I'm a creation of Jacob too (Father of the white race)
I'd like to emphasize that no human is more important than another at birth, although I'd like to remind you that white people have massacred and exterminate the original people of God for over 6000 years ago.
Does slavery come to mind...?
I encourage you to track back Historical facts and prove me wrong.

You surely made your point clear sister. Now tell me... where is Egipt located?
A: Africa
Do you really think white man was around Africa 4000 years ago?
Think again...
