Again, I appreciate help with some of these. Some of these aren't that difficult, but I really appreciate a Jewish viewpoint. Even if you're not of Jewish desent but might have studied Judiasm. Here is another quote:

"What Will Happen When the Messiah (Moshiach) Arrives

(1) He must be Jewish (Deuteronomy 17:15; Numbers 24:17);
(2) He must be descended from David through Judah (Genesis 49:10) and Solomon (I Chronicles 22:9-10; Jeremiah 23:5; Ezekiel 34:23-24, 37:21-28; Isaiah 11:1-9; Jeremiah 30:7-10, 33:14-16; Hosea 3:4-5);
(3) He will be proceeded by Elijah (Malachi 3:23-24)
(4) With the coming of the Messiah will be the physical ingathering of Judah from the four corners of the earth (Isaiah 11:12, 27:12-13, 43:5-6; Jeremiah 16:15, 23:3; Zechariah 10:6; Ezekiel 37:21-22);
(5) Also with the coming of the Messiah there will be the reestablishment of the Holy Temple (Micah 4:1; Ezekiel 37:26-28; Isaiah 33:20);
(6) There will be world-wide peace (Isaiah 2:4, 11:6; Micah 4:3; Ezekiel 39:9);
(7) In the Messianic age the entire world will believe in G-d (Isaiah 2:4, 11:9, 40:5; Zephaniah 3:9; Jeremiah 31:33; Zechariah 8:3, 14:9,16);
(8) The Jews will be sought for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23);
(9) Death will cease (Isaiah 25:8) and the dead will be ressurected (Isaiah 26:19; Daniel 12:2; Ezekiel 37:12-13);
(10) The enemy dead will be buried (Ezekiel 39:12);
(11) The Nations will help the Jews materially (Isaiah 60:5,10-12, 61:6);
(12) Each Tribe of Israel will receive its inheritance (Ezekiel 47:13-14);
(13) Eternal joy and gladness will characterize the Jewish Nation (Isaiah 51:11);
(14) The Egyptian River will run dry (Isaiah 11:15);
(15) Trees will yield new fruit monthly in Israel (Ezekiel 47:12);
(16) He will be the perfect judge able to see beyond words and appearances (Isaiah 11:2-3);
(17) He will be able to vanquish evil at a word (Isaiah 11:4);
(18) He will be the king of an independent and recognized Israel (Isaiah 11:10);
(19) The nations will recognize the wrongs they did to Israel (Isaiah 52:13-53:12);
(20) Israel will be perfect in the practice of Torah (Deuteronomy 30:6; Jeremiah 31:31-33);
(21) All of Israel will be prophets (Joel 3:1-2);
(22) The Messiah will be universally recognized (Isaiah 11:10)

This is only a partial list of the requirements. Jesus fulfilled none of them (with the exception of being Jewish--but so were many others). The Jewish Messiah will come once and only once there will be no "second coming". The Jewish Messiah will also be a man and not a demi-god."

C. Elijah did come before Jesus, and so did John who was the type and figure of Elijah.(4) With the coming of the Messiah will be the physical ingathering of Judah from the four corners of the earth (Isaiah 11:12, 27:12-13, 43:5-6; Jeremiah 16:15, 23:3; Zechariah 10:6; Ezekiel 37:21-22);
D. Unless you have a huge sickle, every wheat plant is harvested one at a time. It is a continuous process until all is gathered.(5) Also with the coming of the Messiah there will be the reestablishment of the Holy Temple (Micah 4:1; Ezekiel 37:26-28; Isaiah 33:20);

G. Who doesn’t believe in God, even demons believe and are afraid. It’s not a matter of believing, but trusting in His righteousness to be imputed to you.(8) The Jews will be sought for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23);
H. The bible, Torah, TANAK, OT and NT is a Jewish book and it (scripture) is profitable for our teaching and equipping for every good work.(9) Death will cease (Isaiah 25:8) and the dead will be ressurected (Isaiah 26:19; Daniel 12:2; Ezekiel 37:12-13);

1. There will be a second coming, called the ingathering, the literal Hag Succoth followed by a Feast of Joy. The Jewish Messiah will also be a man and not a demi-god."
2. Jesus is a man, and not God. Jesus is the mediator just as Moses was, and is the High Priest as Aaron was.
You have ears, but you can not hear. You have eyes, yet you can not see. Understand with your heart, turn from your sin, and God will heal you. The coming of the Kingdom of God is near you, even next to you. Confess with your mouth that God raised His Christ from the dead, and you trust Him to raise you up, and you will be spared from God's wrath.

Whoa, nelly!  What you need is to break them down a bit more.  If the individual isn't looking, it's doubtful they'll be interested in the answer.

But let's look at #1 &  2.  Luke was written in 50 A.D. in Corinth of Achaia, to an audience immersed in the gods of climatical and social principalities and powers.  These were more interested in commerse and social interactions.  Matthew was written in Jerusalem amongst hostile witnesses in A.D. 55, only 25 years after the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus.  It was around for 15 years before the destruction of the Book of Days (the genealogical record of the families of Israel) in 70 A.D.; and Matthew was written in order to address the specific questions and denials of the opposition in that Day.  Except for 2,3 John -- the entire N.T. was written in the 10 year period of 47 - 57 A.D., and our grasp of the First Century is viewed through this narrow lens.

In just Matthew, we see in verse 16 that the relative pronoun "whom" is found in the feminine genitive case.  This tells us that although the lineage is definitely that of Joseph, the lineage is cited by the right of adoption to the Firstborn of the wife who is joined to her husband.  In the pretext of Deuteronomy 21:15-17, this firstborn of hers can legally claim a double-portion of Joseph's inheritance. In Joseph, what is found "with him" is his lineage and his right of kingship as a son of David.  As Yeshua ben Yosef, Jesus inherits the Name of his adopted father as if He were his actual son.   This notion of exaltation in adoption by being given a new position is seen in Psalm 89:27 (cf. vv 22 ff.), for example.

This Jesus, now explained as being literally a "Messhiach ben Yosef",  is preceded by a prophet.  Elijah when pronounced as Elias (same spelling) means he who is "high and faithful to YH."  John the Baptist, says Jesus, qualifies to that interpretation of his name and office.    Are you able to absorb these things?  If you can't, you won't be able to defend what someone else has explained.  Are you studying or purchasing bible apologetic themed book?  Hope this helps.  Shalom.
Brianroy,

You're absolutely right that if the individual is not looking they aren't really interested in the answer.

As stated in my OP to this thread, some of the arguments are, in my opinion, easily refuted; based on my knowledge of the New Testament and my faith in the Word of God.

In the debate I have tried to relate to a "Jewish" point of view to try and come from some "common ground" or  at least a platform the other party would be open to. This is what led me to your website for answers.

What I have found, as Aad2 stated in another thread, I might not be able to convince my opponents but have discovered richness in the Word of God as a benefit to my Faith. Jesus was a practicing Jew and I am most delighted to hear from practicing Jews who know Jesus as Messiah. I feel closer to my Faith the more I learn about Judiasm.

I think I can stand well on my own using points of view from the New Testament, and that may in the end be the only way to confirm and validate the Word of God in the Old Testament. I have brought these "arguments" here for a Jewish perspective...how would a Jew debate with another Jew as to the Messiaship of Jesus.

And I have not been disappointed, your posts and responses from the others have been enlightening and uplifting. I look forward to more. Thank you all!
