Bible Publishers Sued for Anti-Gay References

Quote:
A Michigan man is seeking $70 million from two Christian publishers for emotional distress and mental instability he received during the past 20 years from versions of the Bible that refer to homosexuality as a sin.

Bradley LaShawn Fowler, a gay man, claims his constitutional rights were infringed upon by Zondervan Publishing Co. and Thomas Nelson Publishing, both of which, he claims, deliberately caused homosexuals to suffer by misinterpretation of the Bible.

Fowler, 39, is seeking $60 million from Zondervan and another $10 million from Thomas Nelson.

U.S. District Judge Julian Abele Cook Jr., who will hear Fowler’s case against Thomas Nelson, says the court “has some very genuine concerns about the nature and efficacy of [Fowler’s] claims."

If Publishers were responsible for the words of an Author, especially one dead for two thousand (plus) years, and/or books could be forced from store shelves because the book contained 'words' that offended someone, we would be back to 'oral' tradition very, very quickly.

People have tried to do away with the Bible for many years.  It was outlawed many times over, yet survives the abuse.  If, somehow, God's word were completely irradicated from the face of planet Earth, those responsible would not have a planet to support them, as God would speak it out of existance.  Whouln't that surprise them?

The big sew, and the small sue.

The latest medical reseach concerning homosexuals (according to an article in the Charlotte Observer), equates the disposition or likelihood of men being homosexual to the size of the brain. I choose not to go into detail, because of the choice of subjects for the study, the number of subjects studied and other related factors, such as how the data was gathered, organized and presented.
