Just wanted to let you know that I will be gone again, for a week this time, so you don't wonder what has happened to me.
Going to take my son and visit my mom in TN. She is unable to travel because her hubs has Alzheimer's [sic?] and cannot travel (confuses him).
Mom has not seen my son for over two years...and you know how much they change at 8 thru 10!! (Oh, she hasn't seen me either, but what am I, compared to a GRANDCHILD?? LOL)
I ask you to pray for our safe travel.
And that it will be a blessing to my mom, and my brother, who is an unbeliever, and going there at the same time as us, with his 8 yr old son.
May everything that comes from my mouth, and the actions I do, glorify God, and lead my brother to repentance and salvation.
*holy kisses to all* See you next Thursday!

RE:
Just wanted to wish you a happy holiday and all the best for your family. It's been my pleasure debating with you.
Take care. You're already missed
Girls, I'm leaving on vacation Sunday. We really should have planned this better and spaced ourselves out a little *LOL*
Anyone here live in S. Dakota???
Have a great safe trip both of you. I will miss you both, and pray for both of you.
Chow, if you are going anywhere near Mt Rushmore, you have to, have to stop at Bear Country USA, unless you are traveling with an animal. (I'm a bear freak, and that is one of my favorite places.) The reptile garden (if you aren't afraid of reptiles) is also a very cool place to visit--but, of course, it isn't as great because it has no bears. Both are on the right side of the road up to Mt Rushmore from Rapid City. South Dakota! I envy you, Chow.
Rev! Thanks for the tip! I like bears and snakes! Really I do! And we are going to be in that area doing all the Badlands, etc. I'll show you pictures when I get back!

Good year to go! This is the first year in a long time that they have had plenty of rain, so by this time the wildflowers will be making the magnificent landscapes in the Badlands and the Black Hills look even more magnificent. There is the Passion Play there too. Bring a nice big tote bag to grab all those brochures when you get across the state line or better yet at the Missouri river rest stop if you are traveling from the east. I lived there for a short while, and visit my friend often. I love the drive there as much as the destination. No such thing as too much film. If you use an SLR camera, there is a great film printer at 1st Photo on Main St. in Rapid City; you can get them done there. Take a look at Bill's books and prints; he has photographed the landscapes, animal life and the people there since way before you or I were ever born. Even if you use a digital, stop by there anyway to get a good dose of the area's historical in amazing pictures. Bill and Alice will give you a warm welcome.
Thank you, Baptistic. My husband got us a camcorder just for this trip and I'll be taking my digital. We used to take our SLR's on all our trips, but the digitals have taken us over with the ease of upload, etc. We can still get a good print from a large file.
All my shots from Israel years ago are in kodacrome and I need to get something done with them to make them more accessible again.
Glad to know there's some photobugs in here!!

GREAT PICS CHOW!!
(Mine are all of kids having fun, and hummingbirds crowding to feeders, and weird bugs... LOL)
Hey, show us the weird bugs! I was in one shop/gallery that exhibited an artist whose art was....all out of bugs!
