Every Jew will tell you that the Messiah is to be the "Son of David". Many of them will correctly quote Jeremiah 23:5 to prove their point.

Jer 23:5-6 AMP  Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch (Sprout H6780), and He will reign as King and do wisely and will execute justice and righteousness in the land.  (6)  In His days Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His name by which He shall be called: The Lord Our Righteousness.

By quoting the above verse they testify that the word Branch is understood to mean "son" in the passage.

Isa 4:2 NIV  In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel.

Now since the Hebrew word צמח  (H6780) “tseh'-makh” is universally accepted to mean “son” in Jeremiah why do we have a problem translating the word “tseh'-makh” as “son” in Isaiah 4:2?

Why the unbelief and the inconsistency when the fullness of revelation and time has now come?

Why is it a problem reading Isaiah 4:2 in line with the obvious revelation given in Jeremiah 23:5.

Isa 4:2 AMP  In that day the Son of G-d shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be excellent and lovely to those of Israel who have escaped.

Can we get rid of this Muslim mindset and allow scripture to interpret scripture? For we will only see past the veil when we seek the Living G-d from the depths of our hearts.

Isa 8:17-18 CJB  I will wait for ADONAI, who is hiding his face from the house of Ya‘akov; yes, I will look for him.  (18)  Meanwhile, I and the children whom ADONAI has given me will become for Isra’el signs and wonders from ADONAI– Tzva’ot living on Mount Tziyon.

Will they also quote Psalm 112?

Quote:

Psalm 112
The Blessed State of the Righteous
1 Praise the LORD!

         Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
         Who delights greatly in His commandments.

2 His descendants will be mighty on earth;
         The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches will be in his house,
         And his righteousness endures forever.
4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness;
         He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man deals graciously and lends;
         He will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he will never be shaken;
         The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
         His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
8 His heart is established;
         He will not be afraid,
         Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.

9 He has dispersed abroad,
         He has given to the poor;
         His righteousness endures forever;
         His horn will be exalted with honor.
10 The wicked will see it and be grieved;
         He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
         The desire of the wicked shall perish.

By the way, is Psalm 112:3-4 really, "Wealth and riches will be in [H]is house, [a]nd [H]is righteousness endures forever. Unto the upright there arises [L]ight in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous."?
Proverbs 30
[4] Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

Solomon asks.
Y'shua answers.

Luke.11
[31] The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
David King of Israel shed much blood. In Pslam 51, He says, cleanse me from bloodguiltiness, Oh God, Hide thy face from my sin.

At Golgotha, this bloodguiltiness was forgiven in Christ by God himself,
as He hid his face from the sin of all humanity he had placed on Jesus
His Son.

That is the beauty of the gospel of God, we fight a good fight of faith
for our King has conquered the last enemy, death itself.
