My wife was watching a tel-evangelist on TV the other day and this guy had tatoos from his neck all the way down his body, and all these body piercing's as well. I am sorry but I don't think we should compromise with the world to preach the word of G-d. I know some would say that he may be reaching out to the lost people with all these Tatoos and stuff, but how can we be the salt and light of the world when we don't set ourselves apart from the world? I know that Yeshua supped with sinners, but he did not become a sinner. If we wanted to reach out to the Homosexual community, that doesn't mean we have to be one. I think to many Preacher and Rabbi's are sending the wrong messages.


The Bible warns us against tattoos in Leviticus 19:28 (Amplified) which says, "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord."

TATTOOING HAS WITCHCRAFT "ROOTS"

In addition to the above verse, Scripture also warns us not to disfigure our bodies in following verses:

1 Kings 18:28: "And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them."

Deuteronomy 14:1(Amplified): "Ye are the sons of the LORD your God; you shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness on your foreheads for the dead."

The televangelist may have had the tattoos before he became a Christian or pastor.

I agree with you Noah; furthermore, that guy you're referring to...well..my personal opinion of him is that he is a counterfeit being used by Satan. I don't want to give him any more free publicity or name his name but he is a fraud!

In Judaism it's know that you should tattoo yourself. (allthough just paint on your skin might be allowed, those temporary plasters or so)...

Some signs might be wichcraft. But I think another reason in Tenachic times was that people did make marks in their skins, about how many people they killed. Also it is known that certain priestly orders of other cults had their signs...

Not cutting into the Flesh, also means that Judaism should stay one body... and don't fall into peaces with groups that don't follow the Jewish Law.

Like I said before, "The televangelist may have had the tattoos before he became a Christian or pastor." Who are you to judge if he's a fraud?  

Chow, It is well documented that he had Satanic Tatoos before he started preaching, but continued the practice and also the body piercings up to this very day. If a person had a Tatoo before they became a believer, I know that G-d would forgive them. Adonai is a G-d of absolutes, good or bad, right from wrong, sin or be Holy and is NOT a G-d of compromise.

I dont know if he is a FRAUD, but he is sending out the wrong message to millions of kids, The Bible says that in the last day's there will be those that come in the name of the L-rd that will deceive even the elect. I told my wife if someone that had two horns and a tail and comes in the name of the L-rd are we obligated to trust in them? I say no!!!

Don't Tattoo's fade? I saw a girl with the Durer's praying hands on her wrist, and it is a kind of reminder. (at least to the one looking)
