I'm a newbie here so please bear with me on what might turn out to be a lengthy question. Over the years I have heard and read bits & pieces on this subject... concerning the tabernacle in the wilderness, Solomon's temple, and also many if not all of the feasts and holy days the Hebrews were instructed to observe in the Old Testament. Some in Christendom teach that these observances and the furinshings inside the temple are "types" of Christ...that the entire Old Testament is an illustration of the Creator's plan for man and his redemption. For example, the altar of incense that was kept burning continually, represents the prayers of the saints carried by the Holy Spirit, and the other items in the temple all point to Christ. That the Passover lamb is a "type" or picture of Christ. My question is: Are there any study or reading materials (preferably authored by a born-again rabbi) that deal with this area? Can someone point me in the right direction? I would value the teachings on this subject by someone who understands the Old Testament in the context of the original Hebrew language who also knows Christ. Thanks in advance, Cal.
