I would like to know if I post a reply or start a new thread and it is not going to be released.

Is there some way the moderators can send a pm or something, saying that the post will not be released.

I don't even necessarily need a reason (although that would be nice too!).

Sometimes it seems as if replies and posts "disappear" into "thread air".

Thank you.
Not all posts are posted.

If there is a repeated issue or single issue which might lead to restricted access to the forum, then moderators will make contact explaining the situation. (There is no notification ability in the moderation software when posts are approved or not so the process to contact is a time consuming process and is only used for violations of forum rules which might lead to action so typically no notifications are sent other then these types of violations).

Thank you for the reply.

It seems then that I have a couple of posts that just disappeared. I was not contacted so I don't know where they went.

I guess I'll try again.
In the http://www.crosswalk.com forum You can get away with posting nonsense. It stays on the board until a moderator deems it inappropriate. I posted something about Pat Robertson backing Guliani as a ploy to "get him saved". It was removed within a couple of hours.
I found out later P.R. had words with McCain years earlier.

I see that what is said in the posts implicitly is somewhat clarified
under the posters "biographical" info.

The personal insinuation(s) directed through the anon. name is sometimes readily understood after reading the bio.
I feel the moderators are very liberal in posting all opinions. In other websites; Judaic mostly, my word's are rearranged , and cut out, or censored, or when I approch a question they cannot answer the post is removed entirely or re written to say diffrerently than I meant, and I am very careful who I address anymore. I believe truth can only be found in freedom of speech,[ but moderation bearing witness, and eliminating profanity  also is needed][Not all my posts are released as well as everyone], and I dont think Moderators are prejudice in posting! Truth will dominate over any un truth! Just a note to thank you for your hard work in ministering the truth of the Gospel of Christ to the corners of the world! In Christ's love, Robert
If you make more than five posts in one sitting the sixth one won't show up I think.
Not all posts are posted, although most are. There used to be a hard limit of 5 posts a day from a single person, but that has been relaxed. However, if there are more then 7 posts a day, it is more likely some of the posts won't show up.

To keep the posts short and the board more conversational, there is a limit of approximately 400 words per post. One more recent issue is that some try to bypass the 400 word limit by writing multiple posts with the word 'continue' to signal this post is continued on with multiple posts. Multiple posts which contain 'continue' are assumed to be one post which exceeds the word limit. Typically, not all of the posts in the series will be approved as this works against the rules and the intent of the board.

By registering on this discussion system you agree that you will not post any material which is knowingly false, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually orientated, threatening or invasive of a person's privacy, or any other material which may violate any applicable laws.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in the termination of your account, account suspension, or permanent ban of access to these forums. In order to promote intelligent discussions in these forums, we will delete posts that personally attack others. Remember that politeness helps every discourse. You can most effectively make your point by respectfully providing evidence in short posts that support your arguments.

Keep your posts short (around 400 words.) More people will read short posts that get right to the point.

Avoid posting lengthy citations from books, magazines, etc

Avoid posting lists of citations. For example: If one scripture proves your point, just use one scripture rather than many. You can always post more in anothermessage later.

When posting web sites that are unfamiliar to the moderators, remember, it takes time for the moderators to look at these web sites before approving your posts. Try to be considerate of everyone (even the moderators.)

Be up front with who you are. We welcome posts from anyone holding any religious view (whether or not they believe in Jesus.) We encourage you to share your position at the outset

Use quotes carefully. This is especially important when you are replying to someone else. No one likes to read a reply that has quotes within quotes within quotes. Try not to quote more than a paragraph at a time.

Use CAPS sparingly. Using all upper-case letters is like yelling really loud, except when you yell really loud you eventually get tired. When you use too many upper case letters you may not get tired, but everyone else gets tired of it

Try not to repeat yourself. A well-supported argument should only need to be posted once.
