I was reading my Bible yesterday while sitting in the car on my way to my grandmothers unveiling. A passage caught my eye. I had read it before, several times in fact, but it had more meaning now that my Grandmother had been dead for a while. I realized just how wicked my Grandma was as a physical and spiritual combination.
"Otherwise, you might say to yourselves, 'It is my own power and the strength of my hand that has obtained for me this wealth.' Remember then, it is the Lord, your God, who gives you the power to acquire wealth, by fulfilling, as he has now done, the covenant which he swore to your fathers. But if you forget the Lord, your God, and follow other gods, serving and worshipping them, I forwarn you this day that you will perish utterly." (Deu. 8:17,18,19)
My Grandmother lived a life chasing after wealth. Though this passage refers to far more than simply financial gains, my Grandmother renounced her faith to open a successful bakery by Rockland, New York. She made uncountable sums of money, yet she NEVER once thanked God for her success. She died a painful death, and though the doctors refrain from mentioning this pain, I saw it in her wicked eyes while she was moping in her rickity hospital bed. All she worked for, all she LIVED for, was instantly taken away by the Lord. She was stuck in a rusty iron bed, connected to tubes and wires, as she suffered the wrath of our Lord.
I realized, then, that the death of my Grandmother was not a coincidence. The Lord is watching over us, and like puppets on strings we dangle above a pit of dread. His powerful hands can cut us loose at any time, sending us flying into the aforementioned pit.
Keep well and follow the Lord and Jesus.

I have to agree with you on all fo your points Josh. Speaking of these stories is a great way to connect the Bible and Life.
I have had a similar experiance with my Grandfather. Being the man he was, his life turned out to be phony. Most of his life he nver worked but always wanted more. Later in his life he became ill and bed ridden. Soon after he lost the movement in his legs.
The Doctors had told him if he had walked a half hour everyday he would not have been the way he was.
He died an unhappy man.

Indeed, God can be vengeful tword thoose who go against he. 12 years ago my Uncle was brought down by AID's. He too was filthy rich but my father said he felt the wrath of god for leading a life of sin. I was said to see him go but my father chuckled with glee and spit on his grave. Then he danced off to a jig. Perhaps he got what he deserved but I'm not sure.
Y'shua bless
Spitting on your Unlces grave is a great way to release tension.

But it can also be a harmful sin against your father. I recommend to NOT spit on peoples graves, but to in turn speak to that person as if he were standing right in front of you. God has already processed him into the Holy Land, so he has been relieved of all sin. Also, learn form your rich Uncle, try not to be him or you may have a similar, painful, sad, rue, dismal, unhappy, gloomy, squandered, darkening, remorseful, depressing, pathetic fate.

Y'shua Bless You

I have a friend that is blind

and he is Jewish but does not practice the religion. I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem. I believe if he accepted god and Y'shua he would have more strength to get through life. He is always bumping into walls and being rude to most people he comes across. I think this is because of his built up anger over the past years of torment from other people. Although, you would think that he would believe more easily because he CANNOT see the physical world.
He does not know what trees look like, he must have faith in others who can see to see them in his mind, in his spirit. So accepting a comforting faith must be easy, but he cannot.
I also believe that he thinks that himself being struck with blindness is gods will. He may feel angry at this and that is why he chooses not to belive in the Almighty.
I know this is off topic, but you people are my friends and I need guidance.

The other day I was talking to my blind friend. He said that he does not choose to believe in God the Father and Y'shua because of his predicament. He believes that god plagued him with blindness. This may sound unbelievable, but I can understand what he is saying.
In his life he was going blind at the age of three and had some operation that was supposed to slow the blindness. In turn, the operstion only made it worse.
At age 10 he had another operation trying to remove the protien build up on his eyes. This also only made the situation worse.
The final operation he had a few years later was one that consisted of rmoving his lenses and replacing the bad lenses in his eye with new ones. Again, things only got worse.
This person suffered through three surgeries that did not work and is now totally blind. Although he cannot do the common things we can he still lives life to the fullest. His father is also his sole provider, considering his mother could not take the stress of dealing with a blind person.
He is truly blessed to have such a father that would help him through life.
I hope we can all leave a little wiser, and appreciative after this post.

OOO yeah the blindness could be gods will. Sometimes sin will be punished. This blind one must exept Y'shua into his heart and you must help him. For then he will gain sight beyond sight and see more than ever before. Not physically becouse he is beond such limitaions. His time will come when he learns to follow then he can lead the chosen into the front.

What are your views on people beliving in the elders of Zion

That boy has a right to question God, as he seems to have been eternally cursed to darkness by the Lord. Don't worry, friend. Just tell him to believe in the Lord, and if he is truly fit for the paradise above, he'll do so. If not, too bad. Y'shua only helps those who accept him and his words.
Dude, I have to agree with what you say aobut how Y'shua only hleps those that belive in him.ÊÊI am a JFJ follower so it seems correct.ÊÊ
Although it is funny to think that he had sinned in such an extreme way in his past life that all the worlds light is shaded by his body.ÊÊThis brings up a new topic of discussion though:ÊÊ
"Are larger sins repremanded more severly in another life, while smaller sins are handled with less consequence?ÊÊOr is it just luck of the draw to help people "see" the world in a differnt way, and hopefully be able to learn from their own life?"
May Y'shua guide you!
