Well, it would just go in the trash...I don't read print news, or print anything for that matter. I get it all online...except Bible reading.
But thanks rebecca and FN for linking the article.

Jesus was "debated" many times in scripture. Sometimes He was very gentle, and other times He was very strong with His words. And, IMO, even sarcastic ("if you knew Abraham"...). Of course, He was able to discernn the intent (heart) of the questions/ers like we can't.
Then, there is Paul, who was beaten/imprisoned rather than "stand down"...and rebuked Peter right then and there, not privately, or "civilly", but "in his face".
Every situation and questioner/rebuker poses a different set of circumstances. But winning
the arguement is not what it's about, and we should always remember that.
As for understanding the postition of another, I use the "parrot it back to them" technique (if you want to call it that), and restate their question/statement and ask if I am understanding them. If not, they can clarify.
In the end, we are all human and sometimes we "flesh out". Even Moses did that...not an excuse, but the truth.
Mr. Brickner says some sayings that take a good three or four months to understand.
For instance He said something that sparked my curiosity concerning G.K. Chesterton saying that it is easier to take a "serious" or heavy "attitude" than to "Take it Light".
As a person used to "super religiosity" and displaying stoic pious presentation of character as a badge of my devotion to God, I had to disagree at first. Then after 3 months I began to get his point. Y'shua gives you a joy that not even you yourself can resist too long.
Corrie Ten Boom said,
"Joy runs deeper than despair."
The strength comes when our spirit bears witness (agrees) with the Word of God.
I have at times been completely right and simultaneously defeated by proving my point in the wrong spirit.
Yahweh help me.
Mr. Rosen says,
"Wisdom is applying what you know and applying it properly."
I would like to clarify all my posts in this thread, with one final post.
1) I know Mr. Brickner is a long standing member of Jews for Jesus and began with the touring "Wailing Wall" and is no "dummy".
2) As far as ministry goes, I know JfJ plays "hardball" at times for this organinization really makes a difference in the realm of Jewish evengelism.
3) I know Mr. Brickner knows everything involved with the Media's
undeliberate or deliberate attempts at delivery of the news, whether in
a truthful manner or in a blatantly distorted manner, or in an completely innocent manner.
(Media is not perfect either)
4) Through Mr. Brickner's writings and His own editing, I am confident He loves the Lord, and is capable of disagreeing or agreeing with any idea or
interpretation of truth.
Pray for the peace of USA, Israel and the World, and that Jews for Jesus would continue to make a positive difference for Christ and His kingdom in the earth.
Y'shua answered once, wrote on the ground twice in one of his encounters with the Pharisees. Of course they were always trying to find some way to accuse the Lord.
