Hey everyone!  Shalom!

I just finished reading Bodie Thoene's Zion Chronicles.  The descriptions of Jerusalem were WONDERFUL!  (For those who are not familiar with the books they are a 5 part series starting in December 1947 and going up to May 1948 and the rebirth of Israel...wonderful stories)  Anyway as I was reading I would stop and cry (I really get into my books)  I would cry for the Jewish people that they as a nation would come to Messiah and then I would cry for myself because I would LOVE to visit that wonderful city!!
Unless God somehow intervenes, my chances of ever seeing Zion in this lifetime are slim to nil.  I look forward to seeing the New Jerusalem - walking barefoot on streets of gold - and meeting you all!!  I can't think about it too much or I get way to homesick and excited.  (I'll have to have a new body otherwise I think with all the emotion my old one would explode!)
Anyway - I'd love to hear about Jerusalem from those who have been there and live there. (Especially tales from the Old City)  Pictures from the Old City seem like they are hard to come by - maybe because the area is so labrynth (sp) in nature it's hard to get an entire street picture?
I'd like to know about the Old City, New City, Messianic Believers in Jerusalem, Hebron, Ber Sheba - really anything.
Here are some questions:
What's the weather like? Where are the most "green" areas?
Describe the Old City - Jewish Quarter (People, places, sights, smells)
What's a typical Messianic service like? Do you have a Wal-Mart?CheesygrinWhat are some non-tourist places?  Thanks!

I am going to be watching this thread with (Jewish) interest.
