Lars Bergqvist, the Swedish Ambassador to the Vatican, said, "We should note the the EU was founded by devoted Catholics, such as Adenauer (German) Schumann (French) and de Gasperi (Italian). All of them had the union of Europe as an object." Carefully note this took place immediately after the Roman Catholic Dictators Hitler, Mussolini and Franco had failed in their attempts to do the same. This is taken from the South-Swedish daily newspaper 'Sydsvenskan' dated 16 October 1991, under the paragraph titles 'The Road to the EU Goes Through Rome.'
An article in 'The Sunday Telegraph' (UK) on 25 August 1991, bears the title. 'Now, a Holy European Empire?' Under a large photograph of the Pope, it reads, "In him we have the most political pope in modern time." Clearly there is an awareness of the huge influence of the Vatican in the European Union.
Has the WW2 Dictators original aim to establish the 'Third Reich' really been defeated? It would seem not!

RC leaders have marked the EU. Jacques Delors was the longest serving leader; he is a Roman Catholic. The predominant relgion of the confederation is Roman Catholicsm and its spiritual head is the the Pope, to whom all who practice the Roman Catholic religion owe allegiance, policitical as well as spiritual. Until recently Roman Catholic leaders Chancellor Kohl, Dutch PM Ruud Lubbers, both Jesuit educated and devout Roman Catholics. All these leaders are products of the RC social movement which believes there is no nobler task than the unifying of Europe. Two internal Commission reports in ebruary 1993 to EU President argue 'that ancient religious differences are at the hear of the conflict besetting the Maastricht Treaty on European; and religion - or at least some kind of peculiar new European spirituality inspired by Brussels' ... The European Community, from its inception, was an idea in the mind of the Vatican to re-Ctholicase Europe.

This is true, and partly the reason.
Just some ''secret'' statedocuments came out from conferences in 1944 from the Nazi's how to organize Europe after the war. But this is only 1 of the things.
The Vatican was almost powerless a century before when northen and southern Italy where in trouble etc. Switserland always had protected different ''unions'' and had to stay out of the Union, but they could protect the Vatican etc.
The U.S.A. sponsered Catholic Nazi's between 1938-1948 in Europe, because they where against communists.
The U.N. is based and started out of fear from protestants that the Catholic Church was not willing to listen to Protestant Church-Courts etc.
There are to many historicall developments.
Plus after the war everybody wanted some kind of peace.
England was always somehow against it, and didn't join the Euro for those kind of reasons.
But Protestants like the U.S.A. and now Protestant leaders in Holland etc. are sponsering the war in Irak, that was not recognized or approved by the U.N. So also Protestants know their way of Unifying Unions, and on what side of the Yugoslavian war to be etc.
If Europeans start to realize it more, maybe the slavic countries (eastern orthodox) and protestants have again their problems with southern-central Europe (or the former Roman Empire) more clear. But the question is if you want an internal war again, because of it, or are other interests more important.
The U.N. also devided the world in this kind of regions, where the Mexican-U.S.A.-Canedian pact is one of them. Where the U.S.A. and the U.N. is more controlled by Freemasons, who are nowadays also back in the Catholic Church and Protestant movements.
Where before they started and influenced lookalike Christianity movements, like the Mormons, Watchtower Movement, and even some Messianic Movements.
Masons also have huge interest in the Vatican Bank and Italy, England, France, Holland, Germany and U.S.A. Israel, etc.
So all kind of developments are there in the background.
But in the U.S.A. for a long while Catholics and Comunists where not allowed to immigrate, but now there is also more or the less peace with the Catholics, isn't that better than, sometimes, instead of huge wars.
Cotinuation of my former post, but other subject:
Because, Calvinism, Lutherism, and all kind of Protestantisms never realy worked together as 1 block against Catholicism, they thought off the idea of creating an enlightenment court that became the U.N.
The Catholic Church always has been more centralized power, and is by that easier to blame.
The same process is in Israel. Most Ultra-Orthodox groups are huge blocks where everybody listens to 1 Rabbi, and the group-attitude is overwhelming. Most Zionists, are split up in all kind of sections, and don't realy form a unity or by that central power as 1 party. To blame all the zionists, you have to specify what group said what etc., often it looks easier to blame Ultra-Orthodox.
About the same with Churces, also in WW-II, protestant Churches had all kind of policies about Nazism, Nationalism etc. But the Catholic Church was more organized with 1 Law for all etc. So it's always easier to blame such a group. Where most enlightened protestants, don't take the responsiblitly for wrong attitude, for sidegroups, or fanatics within the group, or 'not real Christians'' said so.
Germany had just became a republic at the end of the 2nd Reich (in 9th of November 1918 (9-11), 2nd Reich as Catholics called it because they recognized the Holy Roman Empire (after the Roman Empire) as Christian. Some groups said the second Reich started with Bismarck till 1918. But Protestants didn't see the Holy Roman Empire as Christian, so a lot of Protestants called Hitlers idea's the 2nd Reich.
WW-II was also behind the scheme's a powerstrugle between German Catholics and Italian traditions, and the Anglican tradition, where everybody had their own rights of Trones / Holy Grails etc. Where the German(Cicilian) Frederick II of Hohenstaufen married the Queen of Jerusalem at 9-11(november) 1225, against the will of the Pope.
This religious powers where also behind the devided plans of deviding the middle east between Germany / England / France etc.
So if we want to dig it all up again, go ahead, knowledge might be good only in the hands who know how to deal with it.
