I know that at times I am trying to teach others things I have yet to fully learn myself.... maybe that is not so good.... nevertheless I keep doing it.
Maybe there is a "group" that I am on the same (so to speak) level with
that desires so much to understand how to do what is right in God's eye's that they sometimes set the bar so high, they knock it down at the first couple of jumps, or misinterpret what God's advice might actually be, and grieve about it after revelatory truth from the Lord.
Is experience the best teacher? Can a person who has belly flopped a number of times really give good enough advice that others don't make the same mistakes he or she did? I think so.
Grace to me answers the question better than statistics or speculation.
God grant me the shalom to accept the things or circumstances you bring, boldness to come to you for help to confront the lies of the enemy, and the wisdom and understanding to know the difference.
Cor517,
Allow me to share with you my perspective of the things you have written.
If you have accepted Christ as your personal savior, the Holy Spirit dwells within you (Rom 8 / 1 Cor 2). When you attempt to teach others, it should not be about you, but the Holy Spirit working through you. For any true believer in Jesus Christ, it is His spirit which speaks through you. In other words… get yourself out of the way and allow Christ to work through you. Read 1 Corinthians 1:18 - which a lot of people refer to as, “fools wisdom.” However, you do need to be careful in allowing the Holy Spirit to provide you discernment for the proper time to teach and the proper time to hear. Also, remain in the Word to find yourself approved.
In regard to what, “level” you may, or may not be on, if a person believes that they are on a “higher level” than you, they should be very careful in that thought (1 Cor 8:1). That is pride on their part, and not pleasing in the eyes of God. True, there may be others with more learning of certain golden nuggets of wisdom. Yet, the Lord is no respecter of persons (Rom 2:10-11) and He knows what you need to learn and say if you are a child of God. My advise (along with 75 cents gets you a cup of coffee) – don’t get hung up on this level business.
Experience is a great teacher. Yet in comparison, the Holy Spirit makes our life experience look vastly different. On the other hand, our life experiences used properly through the Holy Spirit opens doors that may have otherwise been shut to others.
In summery, if I had to ask the question that you have posed as to what level I’m on, and taking into account that you have confessed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and you have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of you, I pray that I’m right there on your level brother.

I am thinking of scripture(s) Cor...
Phil.3
[12] Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Prov.1
[23] Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Prov.24
[16] For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Tit.3
[7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Daveed's provided scriptural words to you on this subject matter, is the higher truth.
For me to read the spiritual insight of other believers on this site, is profound and a great blessing!
Our God is great and greatly to be praised!!

Well, yes and no. If they continue on and on and on learning the same lesson, making the same mistakes, continuing in the same sin...hmmm. Are they/have they learned anything from which to teach? Other than maybe they are that dog returning to it's vomit.
But if they have overcome (that particular thing) and can minister to others....YES!
And then, we, through Christ, are victorious over one thing...guess what? Something
else is thrown in our path by the Enemy, or our flesh rises it's head up. -LOL-
We are not perfect here. We
will fail, but God does not fail to complete the work HE has begun in us.
It keeps us HUMBLE! Knowing that our boasting is OF CHRIST ALONE...not about ourselves. Looking forward to "the day" when we ARE perfect!!
Amen?
Amen & Amen Ripely's ... and all others within The Way!

Shalom, JamesD,
Show you the scriptures is the good way! The Thessalonicans became aware of their need for Christ to minister on their behalf, and Paul was right there with that selfsame spirit. Thanks for your keen insight into the
fellowship we share as believers in the one true God, and His only begotten. Would to God could meet ya in person!
BTW,
If you read my friends (Cor517's) bio, you'll see He was spirit filled yet born into a world of original sin!

Glad so soon to see your response! Christ is the answer! If I compare myself among other believers, according to Paul it is not wise, if I compare doctrine? maybe. Sound doctrine.
Wholesome words.
Just some quotes that come up in my mind...
Experiance might be the best lesson for you... If you make a mistake learn from it. But it doesn't mean that it is the right time for the other person to learn it, nor sometimes even that he has to learn the same lesson.
Just when you learned that you where running to fast and being stressed, and ''God'' tells you that you have to calm down. Then that is the message for you. But if you start to teach others from who ''God'' considers them to be Lazy (a sinfull thing) And you start to teach them what you just learned, and say to them you have to calm down, etc. Than you might even go against God's will.
In Judaism we know that a tekst can have a few meanings or often even more. So there are often 6 ways of truth in a tekst. So pleace stop thinking that what you learned is more the truth than the other 5 ways...
So I hope it gives some space.
Greetings
It keeps us HUMBLE! Knowing that our boasting is OF CHRIST ALONE...not about ourselves. Looking forward to "the day" when we ARE perfect!!

Heb.6
[1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
