I hope others who read this post and believe the greatest tool used against us is our lack of love for G-D and one another will take time to fellowship with me here in cyberspace.

John 13:34-35 – A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
In another thread this was discussed.
First of all, to Love God and the other just as yourself, is within the 10 commandments.
Secondly, in the Jewish Testament, writes often about loving one another. Having respect for the enemy, take care of him, offering him peace etc. etc.
Thirdly, the only thing new in John 13:34-35 is that Jesus is saying it... The tekst is not new. So only that he claim ''to love as he is loving himself'' can be new, for before Jesus he couldn't have said it. (but maybe a lot of other people make the same claims too, for mostly fanatic believers think of themselves as the most loving person there is.).
But mainly because it is allready within the 10 words(commandments) I don't understand why the same thing should also be the 11th. commandment?
Yes Yetzirah231, you are right when you say love is within the 10 commandments.
Yeshua said, and the scripture cannot be broken, John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
He also called Paul to testify (Corinthians 13) so we could know what love is and not be divided.

I'm not devided. But I'm happy that I have my own task...
Love one another doesn't have to mean ''no devision''. That is something else.
I'm not allowed to do the work of a Levi or Priest, and I'm happy and o.k. with that. A Christian doesn't have to do what I do, and most Christians are o.k with that either.
So everybody has it's own task, and than I can love easier.
I mean in South America ''mi casa e tu casa'' My house is your house is a wonderfull welcome and idea. But still I hope that the guests, don't start to invite all their friends and have all kind of strange parties in my bathroom etc.
So it's good that people have different homes, tribes etc.

It appears to me that Messiah called it (John 13:34-35) a new command for good reason. If not he would have said so.
He wanted us to love each other as He loved us, and wanted all men to learn from our example. For if we can not love the man we see, how then can we love the one who we can not see?
Another teaching of Rabbi Yeshua that goes hand-in-hand is John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Until tonight i never saw this verse in the written....suddenly the spirit said to me this is my ELEVENTH COMMANDMENT.....so i jumped on the net to see if the Spirit had revealed this to others....on google i found many had written that possibly God had missed out on sayin that Parents should HONOR their children as the 11th....i agree but God didn't miss out.....it is COVERED in JOHN 13:34 & 35. (Just a thought but it SEEMES SUITING that this 11th COMMANDMENT and that the LOGOS to REHMA revelation by the SPIRIT is coming ALIVE NOW ..... in what most believe is the 11th HOUR!!!) AMAZING!! PRAISE GOD!! SELAH!!
Marcus this is POWERFUL....i mean i knew this by Revelation of the Spirit of God when i was young.....God had implanted in into me....i didn't really comprehend it totally tho.......tonight i was just flippin through GOD's HEART as i like to call it and as i am becoming REALLY DISIPLINED in READING the WORD (JESUS)....DAILY..... i am seeing the written, LOGOS "IS" REALLY REHMA. God is really revealing Himself of late and WHO HE REALLY IS to me through scripture by His Spirit.....
we live ETERNALLY THROUGH JESUS (the WORD) which is ALIVE by the SPIRIT (presence/power) of GOD from the FATHER (HEART) of GOD....and GOD IS "ONE" and GOD IS LOVE, LOVE IS GOD! God is HEART, WORD, and SPIRIT........GOD is FATHER, JESUS, POWER/PRESENCE
IF WE WOULD LOVE EVERYONE (ENEMIES TOO) EVEN AS JESUS DID TO THE DEATH....thus the DEATH of OUR"SELVES"............then people would/WILL "KNOW" God's LOVE...if we think we have any rights to or entitlement to claim, if we bow out, or write someone off (God never writes us OFF), NO ONE WILL KNOW/SEE the "FULLNESS" of GOD's LOVE THROUGH US......they won't see JESUS and the NEED for the IMMORTAL WORD to be written in their HEARTS.....to GIVE US ALL IMMORTALITY with HIM (IAM).

I suggest that you be careful when trying to interpret scripture. Always consider other simular and opposite verses when making an interpretation of a single verse in the Bible. In other words, I believe Scripture interprets Scripture.
