WE usually teach satan was once good angel and came bad and rebel but something caught mine word on the wording Jesus use for satan.
Jesus said He was a murderer from The beginning so would that mean he was evil since His creation?
Was Satan even made, by God, to be 'good' at all? Sugarman, Your question made one of my old questions jump back into my empty head. Consider this, as it may fit right into your question:
God, being omnipotent, before He made anything, or anyone, knowing the end, even before starting the beginning, knew that there was going to be problems with His great undertaking; a task that would tax the perfection, even of God.........................so He made Satan................................as a security testing, protector of the throne..................................and Satan, himself, turned out to be the problem in the great undertaking, that God knew was going to come from somewhere.
What was God's mistake? I can not guess if there even was one, but, consider: God wanted, so much to have this undertaking be so perfect, that He made Satan just as perfect as Himself, except for one tiny bit of one thing, Overall-Power. A difference, so insignificant, that Satan did not notice, but sufficient so that, in necessity of invocation, God could overcome any and all problems. Omnipotence requires 100%, not 99.99999999999999999999%. Poor Satan didn't catch-on until too late.
So: Y E S, Satan was 'evil' at his creation. Or, at least, he was capable of being evil at his creation. Only God, who is 100% P U R E, and H O L L Y, has no evil. Are you ready for this?
Evil equates to and only to, absence of perfection. Only Perfection equals Perfection.
Oh, Thank you God, for the words my fingers just typed. I could not have composed this..
In Your Shalom, I close this. Halleluiah Arley
