I am new to the forum. Please forgive me if I am being ignorant. I came across the site www.shabbatkallah-olivetree.org and I wondered how others here feel about what those people are preaching.
As my nickname suggests, I am a Roman Catholic who is interested in exploring the Jewish roots of Catholic faith. One of the statements that hit a nerve with me is that one document on their site (http://www.shabbatkallah-olivetree.org/sunworship.htm) implies that the religion of satan operates today under the guise of the Roman Catholic Church.
The Shabbat Kallah ministries seem to be following many of the same lines of beliefs of what I've learned of Jews for Jesus. Is there a general consensus among Jews who believe in Jesus as the Messiah that the Roman Catholic Church is evil?
I'd be grateful for any sincere comments.
Dear curiouscatholic.

Like you I am a catholic Christian. I am not in any way aqquainted with the groups that you mention or what they preach. But I know of christians who condemn their brothers in Christ, just because of the name of the assembly they attend. It is really sad, but please do not get angry. We as Catholics know there are sickness and unjustice in the Catholic Church but we also know these are to be found in any assembly of Christ. The whole body of Christ is under attack and as long as the Christians work against each other, satan has a good foothold. Not least in the assemblies which condemn and accuse. For they lack in charity, and that is not Christ-like. So we must all pray for one another and understand always the most crucial part: Jesus died for our sins. When we confess that He is Lord and Saviour we are redeemed by His blood and reconciled with the Father. So says the Word of God - the Holy Bible. So we must never fear the judgement of men. they have not real power. It is written: All will wear out and pass away but Jesus' Word remains eternally.
So people want to complicate God, but God is not complicated. He is Love, He is Compassion, and Pity. He wants unity. Read John 17 and you will understand the desire of Jesus for our times. If we are not of the world then all division is foolishness for it is stated that those who belive in Christ are one in Him. I wish everyone understands that.
And for you my brother, don't be discouraged. Let the Lord teach you. Ask the Holy Spirit to come upon you and lead you and then trust in Him.
May He bless you.
