Here is a new set of vids that I think are a PERFECT GIFT...
especially for our kids. I know many of you are buying holiday gifts, check it out.
3 DVD set, click "trailer" to see preview
I
LOVE SCIENCE!! The more we know, the more it points to/verifies God! IT'S SO AWESOME!!
For skeptics, buy this set
and Ben Stein's "Expelled"...about academic Darwinistic Dogma and educational/professional extortion. (Which I JUST NOTICED is advertised on the same link above, when I went back to that window intending to initiate a "search" for it...LOL)
Rip, have you actually watched these in order to know if the information is not only biblical but logical? I'm watching the trailer right now and can't tell if it's just interview after interview or exactly how the information is presented.
chow~
Did you click on "More Information"? There is a description of each DVD there.
I have watched MANY videos along these lines: By Design as opposed to by chance...it's all science, that points to DESIGN...and sometimes the scientists they interview are NOT Christians/Jews. Sometimes they are still "agnostics"...but they aren't twisting scientific evidence or ignoring evidence to manipulate the results/conclusions.
But to answer the question you asked *LOLOLOL* No, I have not watched this set.
(Did see "Expelled"...loved it!)

I do too. One of the best reads I ever had was when I helped my daughter look up something in her brother's 6-10 age science encyclopedia's and in the simplicity of the way they explained it I saw the glory (His nature revealed) of the L-rd in the creation. I was so stunned, I spent the whole day reading the rest of the books in the set and praising G-d as I beheld Him in His creation.
I've seen Unlocking the Mystery of Life and the Priviledged Planet. Both are very good. They present the intelligent design prespective, not the Biblical creation perspective so they are excellent to share with unsaved evolutionists. I like Unlocking the Mysteries of Life especially. The Priviledged Planet is unique in that it talks about how the earth is a priviledged position to allow man to study the universe (which is not necessary for survival and therefore can't be attributed to natural selection).
I imagine the Case for a Creator (Lee Strobel) would be similar in some regards, but probably also quotes Scripture.
Thanks all, I appreciate your replies. I guess maybe I've been listening to atheists in forums too long dissecting every thing. It makes me listen to things with a more critical ear that isn't always necessary.
*hahaha* THAT will take me a while to chew *L* Think I'll send it on to my Dutch-atheist friend/scientist and see what he has to say about that! I'm sure he'll be thrilled! *LOL*
Oh, so you have an atheist-science friend? *LOL* So do I...many. (Since it
is the state religion and promoted by the public schools...)
Check this brother's site out. I had the priviledge of hearing him in person. Bought lots of gooks...read them...then gave them to skeptics.
Dr. AE Wilder-Smith
His biography (from the site):
A..E. Wilder-Smith studied natural sciences at Oxford, England. He received his first doctorate in Physical Organic Chemistry at Reading University, England, 1941. During World War II, he joined the Research department of ICI in England. After the war, he became Countess of Lisburne Memorial Fellow at the University of London. Subsequently, Dr. Wilder-Smith was appointed Director of Research for a Swiss pharmaceutical company. Later he was elected to teach Chemotherapy and Pharmacology at the Medical School of the University of Geneva for which position he received his "habitation" (the senior examination required for professorial appointments to European continental universities). At Geneva, he earned his second doctorate, followed by a third doctorate from the ETH (a senior university in Switzerland) in Zurich.
In 1957-1958 Wilder-Smith was Visiting Assistant Professor at the Medical Centre of the University of Illinois, 1959-1961 Visting Full Professor of Pharmacology of the University of Bergen Medical School in Norway. After a further two years at the University of Geneva, he was appointed Full Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Illinois Medical Centre. Here he received in three succeeding years - three ``Golden Apple Awards" for the best course of lectures, together with four senior lecturer awards for the best series of year lectures.
Dr. Wilder-Smith's last Golden Apple award was inscribed, ``He made us not only better scientists, but also better men."
PS~ An atheist science friend of mine is the one who GAVE me that link...well, he isn't an atheist, just doesn't believe the Bible or the God of the Bible. I guess agnostic would better describe him.
He sees/recognizes there is design, but the Bible is just "too ludicrous" to him. (OT Law, etc.)
Obviously, we have an ongoing conversation. And, Praise God, he is willing to listen to and ponder on evidence.
Like most of my agnostic and athiest friends, I told him flatly after elections that IF I (and his other "crazy" Christian friends) should *disappear*...whatever story is told...to know that we expect Jesus to take us out supernaturally...to then READ THE BIBLE, and let our disappearance open his eyes to the TRUTH.
I also told him that this was not to open debate...but just as information for him to "file away in his head" to retreive if/when it happens.
