Dutch Gay Group Plans 'Pink Christmas' With Two Josephs, Two Marys

I am amazed at God's patience.

I found the line at the end of the article about violence against gays shocking. If they are this in-your-face, maybe the violence is not because they're gay. And no, I'm not suggesting that violence against gays is justified or right. It is neither. But when, like a spoiled, unruly child, you poke the dog one too many times . . . I can't believe a writer can be so politically blind that he/she fails to see that the effect may just be related to the cause.

Our school is putting on a play about Matthew Shepard. I wonder, who will write a play or put on a play about the numerous young men who have been equally abused and killed by homosexuals? I'm so tired of the propaganda and the in-your-face behavior and the emotional appeals to rights and justice. I'm so weary of the anti-moral attacks and the anti-hate hypocrisy.

Lord God, where are You in all of this? I know we shouldn't pray for judgment on others, but, Lord, the world is getting to be a difficult place to live in, and it needs Your direct intervention and discipline. Bless us, Lord, with strength, courage, dignity, and restraint. The times that You talked about when Christians will die for their beliefs are just around the corner.  Help us to encourage each other now to internalize Your Word while there is still time to be built up. Return to us, Lord, soon. We need You. We are weak and surrounded by enemies that will soon seek our deaths. Be our shield and our strength. Be the God that delivers us. We love You. We need You. Please, come. But before You do, please save our friends here. Please open their eyes. Give us the words and ideas to show them that You are who You say You are.

You are Yeshua, and You are God.

I love You, Lord.
He put us all in this world, and He knows exactly when to take us out of this world.  Those of us who 'chose' Messiah fare well, and those who refuse, soon require a dentist (Gnashing is so hard on enamel).

Be Gay, one and all, in the way the word is supposed to connote.  Let us take back our faith, our Messiah, our vocabulary, and our dictionary.  Ignore those who would disrupt our faith and praise, and hearty celebration of His birth.  Fear not those who can only take your life, but fear Him who can take life and soul.  Praise God for all He is, does, and will do, this time of the year we celebrate the birth of Emanuel.

In Messiah, His Shalom, and our blessings.  Arley
Ok, thanks for sharing!

Truly, God's patience is amazing.

Unfortunately, I can't bring myself to read this (imagine what offence you will, if you will).
All I can say is one word:
Eeeeeew! Frown

(Is Eeeeeew a word?) Neutral
rev....I just read that there is a new Gay Bible translation out too: Gay Bible angers Christians (hyperlink-er isn't working...here's the article link)

A gay version of the Bible, in which God says it is better to be gay than straight, is to be published by an American film producer.

A preview of Genesis is already available, in which instead of creating Adam and Eve, God creates Aida and Eve.

"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Aida, and she slept: and he took one of her ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from woman, made he another woman, and brought her unto the first. And Aida said, 'This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of me. Therefore shall a woman leave her mother, and shall cleave unto her wife: and they shall be one flesh.' And they were both naked, the woman and her wife, and were not ashamed."

"George Barna's research indicates very clearly that, unfortunately, [only] a very small percentage of born-again Christians...believe that there is a concept of absolute truth. That should be shocking to us." Barna is founder of The Barna Group, which monitors trends in the Christian community nationwide.

-emphasis mine-

IT *IS* SHOCKING TO ME!!

Now, I just have to ask, if one who claims to be "born again", REALLY IS, if they don't know there is such a thing as ABSOLUTE TRUTH!??!

What? Jesus is just "the best choice for them"? Like buying a car? "Fits their lifestyle", or what?

End times, ears tickled, multitudes lead astray.

I join with you in your prayer, rev!!
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Isn't it wonderful that we will not be compelled to learn about, remember, and acknowledge (read: reverence) the presence of sin like we now must do in our culture (hopefully through the eargate only and not through the heart)?

Let Christians write plays and songs about the excellency of the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

The wicked will attempt to attach themselves to that which is holy in a vain attempt at an appearance of legitimacy.  That they demand laws to prevent any speech against their sin is evidence that they know they need a perception of legitimacy, which they know they cannot have legitimately.  When we recoil in horror or blubber in protest, it seems to feed the monster.

We need to learn to address it either with compassion or fear, as Jude said, 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Moody Radio in Chicago is investing a lot more airtime to discussion of issues.  This transcript of a commentary briefly explains a both-sides-of-the-coin and that we believers should pray for those who are engaging the issue of the homosexual agenda in our culture today.  I found this when I was searching for anything that referred to what I knew I had heard on Moody radio in the recent past.  Then you can look into either group it refers to, as I cannot tell you much more at this point.

AFTAH - Moody Commentary:  Two Sides of the Same Coin

So keep on presenting the genuine Christ according to what gift God has given you.  Don't fret; Jesus is coming.  Look how right the Bible is about everything that is happening today.

If my above offends you, for some reason, then be offended, for my love for Messiah stands much taller than you or I.  To be honest, the only clue I have that I have offended you is the fact that your post trails, closely, mine.  Of course you may have posted here in reference to another thread, but logic tells me you are smarter than that.  Enough said

Have a wonderful time celebrating the birth of our Messiah, Emanuel, who paid the price that we can, once again, and forever more, wear the Purple robes of the Royal Family of God.  We have little time to experience the time of the Gentiles, unto Tribulation.  Praise God on High.

In Messiah, His Shalom and joy.  Arley

I have never heard of George Barna before and tried to find out about him, and more importantly what his definition of a "born-again Christian" is.  I couldn't.  Nor could I find out exactly who he questioned in his survey.

I know of quite a few people on my wife's side of the family who claim to be "born-again" but attend Pentecostal-type churches that deviate from mainstream Christianity.  The message they get is very watered down and they behave with a serious secular bent.  Are they "born again"?  Maybe, in the sense that they believe in Jesus, they are.

While I agree that morality is on the decline in general, I would take the Barna research with a grain of salt.
More on Pink Christmas, with a Muslim twist.

Your words are terrifying. I don't defend their lifestyle; homosexuality is a sin and the play is tasteless, but we all sin, including you. They're not harming anyone by putting on a play. Many Christians believe Christmas is a heathen holiday celebrated by pagans. Should we all stop celebrating it because it offends them?

Your words show perfectly the way of thinking that has spawned evey act of cruelty from the beginning of time, and no doubt will till the end.
In one sentance you claim that you don't justify violence, yet then, you blame the victims of the very violence you don't "justify" for the violence against them! LOL Not because they harmed anyone, but simply because they don't hold your views, and it offended you. Then you throw in some "add-on" rant about child molesting and homosexuals, which has nothing at all to do with the play. You added it for effect, even though it has nothing to do with the topic, and not all homosexuals molest children - just as not all hetero men rape women.

Manipulation like this has been adhered to all along, and the result was bloodshed - intolerance and hatred, victim blaming, written off as "good" in the name of religion, and in that, condoning HORRID actions against those deemed sinners. Hitler did the same to the Jews. We know the end result. The Catholic church did the same to the Christians regarding the reformation - we know the end result. Christians did the same to their victims during the witch trials - we know the end result. And radical Muslims do the same to those who don't worship Allah. What will be the end result - if those anti-hate "hypocrites" don't step up and stop it? Words can kill, as actions follow from words - and from that - bloodshed.

Moving on:

I wonder who will put on a play about Christians all around the US TODAY who run polygamous groups and marry, impregnant and all but imprison young girls. I really do wonder - who will put on a play about them, those who use the bible to condone using girls as sex slaves and nothing more, and the suffering they cause? I know it won't be Christians - they're too busy getting worked up over homosexual plays, ranting about homosexual abuse of children, and don't seem too keen on looking into the abuse of human beings from their OWN kind.

Yes, God must have a lot of patience. For there is no greater sin than committing sin in the name of God, and all too many Catholics/Christians are guilty of that.

In Yeshua, Shalom.
