Hey everyone! its my first post.  I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this website.  http://messianicprophecy.netfirms.com/

i have a friend who is Jewish (she did not reference this though, i found it on my own)  and we are currently debating Original Sin, Jesus as Messiah and the Jewish Messiah.

before I invest more time into this site: http://messianicprophecy.netfirms.com/
I was wondering if anyone could give me a bit of a background on it.   I also have not seen yet if the author believes that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, but taht interpretations in the NT are "misquoted and out of context" when referencing the OT.

one comparison that came up was:  Romans 10:8 and Deut. 30:14   (where the last few words: "That you may do it" are not referenced by Paul)

Thanks everyone!

I know two Authors that can help you to counter this site.

J.P Holding and Dr.Michael Brown

they both have sites.

if you J.P holding has a site and when I get home I can give it to you.

The best thing to do is to copy and paste the persons words and who is saying them and send to J.P holding.

I seen many cases like that site you posted and J.p holding debating them about the bible being the same as 2000 years ago etc...

One thing I find is he quotes the followers of jesus did not view him being The Christ.

What this authors fails to understand there are writtings that date even in the life time of the apotles Jesus being re-fer to as Christ.
Sugarman,

I'm sure you can come up with someone better than J. P. Holdings!

Dr. Brown I would say is at least reputable, but is heavily countered himself in a new article on the Jews for Judaism website called "Contra-Brown".

The truth of the matter is that the gt does take things out of content.

Here is a perfect example:
Read Paul's message in this verse and surrounding verses:
26And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
   "The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27And this is[f] my covenant with them
when I take away their sins."[g]

Paul distinctively says "as it is written". Where is it written that way? I'll show you where it is written totally the opposite.

Isaiah 59:20 And a redeemer will come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith HaShem.

Paul says the deliverer will come from Zion and take away their sin.

Isaiah says a redeemer will come to Zion to those that turn from their sin.

lol in bridge I would bid 7 spades and double your contra...

Search that was a poor example... no references, no translation version, no Tanakh research... let me try

Please go to Joshua 8:31 and find me the verse being referenced "as it is written".

Jos 8:31  as Mosheh the servant of LORD had commanded the children of Yisra'el, as it is written in the Book of the Torah of Mosheh, “an altar of unhewn stones over which no man has wielded iron.” And they offered on it burnt offerings to LORD, and slaughtered peace offerings.

Now apply equal measures to both examples.

Deu 25:15 NIV You must have accurate and honest weights and measures, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

The Torah explains G-d's Torah and your accusations only expose the motives.
