My uncle ,who has been doing a family tree search, discovered that his mother (my maternal grand-mother) was Jewish. He said it made sense to him because my grandfather was always referencing her as being a Jew, although it was usually derogatory in nature.
Anyway, my question is this, if it is confirmed that my grandmother was indeed Jewish would that make me Jewish?  I wonder about this because I believe by orthodox standards I wouldn't be as she was a staunch Catholic and by all accounts lived in denial of her Jewishness.

If she was halachaly Jewish, and a if it is a continous female descent
from her (in otherwords, your mother is her daughter) then according
to halachah you would be Jewish....if is on your fathers side, then no.
