I agree also, and well said. Israel has every right to defend themselves. I think it is so sad that all those Muslim children learn is sociopathic behavior, apparently from the moment they can hear. They are brainwashed into killing themselves and others for nothing.

Israel is not about to use it's nukes....unless
they are launched at her first. They are a necessary
deterrent.

But he did; Sodom and Gemorra. He wouldn't have if there had been 10 righteous persons in each one.

Besides that the almost 100.000 Iraki deaths since 5 years is more repelling I think. Mainly because it was not about wapons of mass destruction, but about oil-benefits. The U.S. used depleted uranium and napalm-like bombs against terrorists in neighborhoods.

re: emphasized part- This is political spin just like the news slanted against Israel. Easily forgotten is the 10 years of UN (denied, postponed) inspections dictated as part of the defeat of Iraq after Iraq/Saddam attacked Kuwait (his Islamic brothers).

Really? Honestly? Not Pakistan? Or Russia? Or North Korea? Or Iran? Or even the USA? Just Israel?

I agree there will come a time when all their defenses will be inadequate, and all allies will have abandoned Israel, and *God* will be gloriously victorious, like when David stood against Goliath, and vindicate Israel. But to say that Israel should force God's hand is another matter.

"ten righteous people", you mean....He did *in fact* destroy the two cities that had many more than 8 living in them. He also instructed the Hebrews to destroy all other nations living in the Promised Land, if you recall.

Frankly, I can't say what I think about *all* of the Arab/Islamic nations. Let's just say I do agree with SQ...Israel has not only a right, but an obligation, to defend itself. And collateral damage (innocent victims) are an ugly part of war, especially when cowards hide amongst innocents. Place the blame where it belongs: on the terrorists, the non-existent/fabricated "Palestinian nation" of Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Yassar Arafat. -COUGH, CHOKE, COUGH, GAG- And all Arabs who look to obliterate Israel. Not just occupy the land, but to annihilate every single Jew.
For the record, I personally, and as a Christian, fully support the right of Israel to defend itself against the evil of Islam. I also believe that Israel should be supported both in prayer and in supplies and finance by Christians and other Christian nations.

I fervently believe that if 'shove came to push' Christian nations and peoples should even  be prepared to fight and defend alongside the very brave Israeli fighters and defenders!

Let us never forget God's Holy Covenant with His people Israel,
"I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."   (Genesis 12:3)

Yes, but if Israel drops a nuke on . . . lets say Tehran . . . do we know that there are not 10 righteous men living there? You may want to read an article on the American bombing of Hiroshima:

This is a true account; I heard about myself from an old priest from Japan.
eyesopen, Shalom.

You said: "G-d will judge between them, and He will defend those who are blameless. Nevertheless, Israel should get rid of its nuclear weapons. Not even G-d would destroy an entire city if there were eight just persons living in it. "

Wanna bet?  And where did you get the number 'eight?'  The lowest He agreed to was 'ten,' and just barely found 'one,' and saved him and his family.

Of course, 'Israel should get rid of its nuclear weapons.'  OK, once we have accomplished removing their best deterrent, perhaps we could then demand that they defend themselves without 'weapons of war,' so that they could be wiped out of existence, having honored the demands of the enemy.

God will not allow Israel to be wiped out of existence.  He will crush anyone trying to 'wipe them out,' and will crush anyone who didn't come to Israel's defense.  Thus:  Israel survives, enemy and bystanders -- G O N E !

Just call me Israeli.

What Israel is doing is justifiable but might not be the best strategy.  I have written before on what the Torah says about war and the Bible has some good suggestions.  When you are droping 500 pound bombs on peoples heads there isn't much of a chance for God to do a miracle to show who he aproves.  But if you do the Joshua thing with light infantry you have plenty of chances for God to work.  In the Lebanon war nonjews who don't have torah intuitively knew something didn't come up to snuff with all the bombing but no ground invasion.  See, in the Bible it is about giving God's love to sinners with a view to peace time.  That is why the Torah says don't cut down the fruit tree.  It is so easy to get caught up in the emotions of war and never imagine how delightfull  the Hamas guys will be when the accept the Messiah.  We need to be carefull not to get too happy about anybody dieing since all  men are made in God's image, even terrorists.  As the Bible says, God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. When we get too happy about the death of the Hamans of the world the corpse on the Gallows can morph into the image of God from Purim to Good Friday. Ameleck might have been the first people group to accept Yeshua as Messiah if the Armenians are Ameleck as Jewish tradition suggests.  More infantry with a little by little invasion and less bombs all over Gaza will help the Jews not fall into the stereotype of the Nazis for them the "cruel yet cowardly race".

I second that motion with a special love for believers in the land.
Well, interestingly enough, here's an article about Israel's neighbors and situation:
