eyesopen, Shalom.
You said: "G-d will judge between them, and He will defend those who are blameless. Nevertheless, Israel should get rid of its nuclear weapons. Not even G-d would destroy an entire city if there were eight just persons living in it. "
Of course, 'Israel should get rid of its nuclear weapons.' OK, once we have accomplished removing their best deterrent, perhaps we could then demand that they defend themselves without 'weapons of war,' so that they could be wiped out of existence, having honored the demands of the enemy.
God will not allow Israel to be wiped out of existence. He will crush anyone trying to 'wipe them out,' and will crush anyone who didn't come to Israel's defense. Thus: Israel survives, enemy and bystanders -- G O N E !
Navyblue shalom.
I do not deny one's right to defend oneself; nevertheless, I never advocate violence, especially the use of weapons of mass destruction. To look at it another way, consider the #1 enemy of the United States -Bin Laden:
For seven years the intelligence resources of the U.S. have been dedicated to finding this man, without any luck. Why can't they find him? Here's why: As I said, G-d will judge between them. Bin Laden is a terrorist -he targets civilians; George Bush is also a kind of terrorist; he has refused to ban numerous weapons that are particularly hazardous to civilians, including nuclear weapons. When Obama signs the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty after he takes office, I'll bet you that they'll capture Bin Laden within a week of the signing.

I totally disagree. Bin Laden is merely a scapegoat the past american government has used to it's convenience. It's obvious it was not yet on the American interest to catch Bin Laden, otherwise how would they justify their presence in the middle east.
How can you explain that a powerful man like Saddam Hussein with a army to defend himself was already capture and found is fate while little sheppard Bin laden is still on the loose? Wouldn't you think all the satelite technology would've allowed the U.S. to locate Bin Laden and neutralize him?
