Christians called to mass exodus from public schools
Quote:
"The real target of the liberals and the left has always been the children. And we can see in California where the conservatives won Proposition 8 -- the vote [was] 52 to 48 [percent] -- but...when Proposition 22 was voted on [in March 2000], they had a 61-percent margin of victory. So the culture is turning against Christianity and against the pro-family movement primarily because we've allowed our children to be educated in their schools," he adds. "They're converting our children; we're not converting them."

Amen!
Yes, amen!
The real battle here though, IMO, is funding.

It's our tax system that forces many to send their kids to public schools. Until we can get vouchers, or something similar, many are bound to the public system.

Even IF able to sacrifice/budget-cut and exit, our money continues to fund the Darwinist, moral relativist, anti-American sentiment in our public schools, while we also pay for our children's education TOO.

"They" don't care if we leave really (yet, unlike UNCRC signator nations). Same money, less students. It's a win/win for them.

But in the meantime, we can't continue to sacrifice our kids to Mammon, no matter what.

I agree.

If Christians know why Christians started to think hundreds of years ago about an enlightenment-court (U.N.) that could at least be a power against the Catholic Church, instead of starting an International-Protestant court which seemed to be to devided and weak.
Than allready you have to think if Protestants will also suffer from the liberals and non believers they asked to join in the enlightenment court.
So there should not be illusions in this kind of gouvernments on who is converting who. Protestants started this enlightenment, and might also finish it. But than we have to accept all kind off fanatic groups again.
Neutral Amen, if only we had done it sooner. About 15 to 20 years ago, I read a comment from the leader of one of the main gay rights organization. After years of denying any hidden agenda regarding our children, he came out and quoted Hitler policy, as saying that if they got them by age 6, they were theirs.

This was in response to a victory in the NYC public school system in which they were allowed by State law, to implement books at the KINDERGARTEN level, entitled (children's names may be wrong but you get the idea), "Why Laura Has Two Mommies" and "Why Bobby Has Two Daddies."

I fought the refusal of our State legislature to pass a bill for a voucher system, in which every parent would be given a voucher to send their kids to the school of their choice. The legislature refused to pass it, because they knew that the wind they would feel next, would be from the mass exodus of parents to enroll their kids in the now "free" Christian schools. As it was, I had to pay between $200 and $300 a month for ONE CHILD, to keep them out of the "hell" of a school system that was detrimental to their mental and physical health. Blessings...

No kidding. Just go to the NEA website and see for yourself the push for public pre-K, and lengthed hours (before and after school "care")...all in the name of "better education" and "helping parents".

This is found under NEA's 12-Point Action Plan for Reducing the School Dropout Rate
Quote:
6.  Act early so students do not drop out with high-quality, universal preschool and full-day kindergarten; strong elementary programs that ensure students are doing grade-level work when they enter middle school; and middle school programs that address causes of dropping out that appear in these grades and ensure that students have access to algebra, science, and other courses that serve as the foundation for success in high school and beyond.

The first large cigarette tax in California went to fund First 5 California like Headstart, a pilot public pre-K program.

That’s why we’re here. First 5 California and 58 County Commissions throughout the state work to improve the lives of children from the time they are in the womb until they enter kindergarten.

This year our school district started an after-school program for elementary students...they are in school till 5 p.m. (IMO, we are institutionalizing our kids, too. For all intents, they are simply orphanages for kids who have been abandoned by "working parents", IMO.) Keep in mind that many of those kids get to school at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast. It's really disgusting.

It all sounds innocuous, even "good"...you might find this interesting: Communist Goals (1963) - EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

ER, uh....BurningBush!

Forgive me.
Back in the school year of 1961-1962 I was teaching in the public schools in Key West, Florida... Every teacher started the day with the Pledge to the Flag, we sang a patriotic song, (probably America the Beautiful), said the Lord's prayer and read a selection of scripture from the Bible...

Today, because of the indoctrination of our children by the public school system, parents begin to wonder, by the time their child becomes a teenager, who that stranger is living in their house...  No longer does the child and the parents share the same values as our children have been brainwashed, and dumbed down.

Yes, it's time for Christian parents to remove their children from the public schools..
However, I see the time coming, and very soon, where it will be against the law for parents to teach their own children....

This has already happened in Germany, and maybe even in a few other countries.

Blessings everyone..

Hey there crmann,  Shalom.

Welcome aboard Mate,
Good to see someone in my generation getting involved to bolster up the younger generations, in their attempt to get God back into American life.

Hey, Young people,  Guess what?  Even though the body ages, and gets ricketier, and what used to be walking is now running,  the mind stays young, if it has been exercised throughout adulthood growth, as well as childhood learning.

Now, if only we had a system that would allow posts to be publicized in a timely manor,  so I didn't forget what I wrote before anyone sees it. Ha.

Had to jump in here, been tracking, and will jump back in, if I can think of anything wise enough to be considered.
