1-Rumors of wars most of history didn't really stop war
2-Wars in News Paper didn't capture the horror till Steven Crane
3-War on the Radio kept you up to the minute (WWII)
4-War on TV made it totally unaceptable to have war (Vietnam, Korea, Faulkands, this was all on my living room TV for the 6 o'clock news).
5-War on the internet.  This doesn't get enough credit for stopping war.  Gaza is the newest phenomena.  It live streaming mangled children.

Is it really the bomb that stops modern all out war, or the media?

They are saying the Israelis droped incindiary white phosporous  on civilians.  They got burned up it says. We will see how that plays out if it is true or not.
Chad, Shalom.

There is a sixth kind of war, my friend.  The sixth kind of war is the one the warriors personally perform.  You know, the one that the press, radio, and TV try to make advertising bucks from, and increase the audience, by hyping the story-line to a point that the warriors wouldn't recognize, if they hadn't been there?

You say: "...'They' are saying the Israelis droped incindiary white phosporous  on civilians.  They got burned up it says."  At this point, you have created a problem by stating something that some will believe, without any proof, and start the process of condemnation against Israel.  They, further, will be extremely difficult to sway away from what may or not, be fact.  Using the term 'they,' does not reduce ones obligation to truth. (But that is not what I wanted to address)

Ask any veteran, who experienced conflict, first-hand, how many times they worried about, or considered, who, on the other side, got hurt, when someone, there, is doing their best to end the life of the veteran you just asked that question of.

I tell you the truth, Remorse floods the soul, L A T E R.  During the hostility, survival, at the cost of the life of the enemy, is 99.9% of a warriors focus.  When that focus is changed, by media, law, or bad leadership, good guys die.

Suffice it to say, I do not like your Thread Lead, and only address it, this once, to ask you to give better consideration to affect, before creating an effect, through your words.

In Messiah, His Shalom, and consideration.  Arley
