I was interested in how the Judaic belief interprets Jeremiah 31;31. Does Hebrew interpretation set this scripture in a past tense time frame or future tense. I am so amazed of the knowledge of scripture the Rabbi's have of the Old Testament and how Hebrew translates it differently from Ugaritic translation cognats to the English translation. There are many translations that have caused many disagreements in accuracy and transfer of comparisons and I believe have caused a barrier between New and Old. The New should fulfill all Old Testament scripture, and in my understanding the Torahs accurate interpretations it seems we are both right. I see the New Testament in a spirit overshadow of the Old Testament. I mean a correlation with events that had taken place but in a description of the Son of Man. There are many words; Virgin birth, Messiah , 2nd. coming ,fulfillment of the Third Temple, the sacrifice of human blood as Pagan, and thousands of misinterpretations and division from both sides. It's funny though when you get to the end, Our belief is the same. I have taken many of Revalation scriptures of the New Jerusalem and implanted them in Jewish Blogs, and they publish them not knowing they were New Testament. I believe between The two Faiths , both believing in only The G-d of Israel, The Twelve Tribes, and The Son of Man; Immanuel, we can find the answers both sides lack,and answer the questions we both seek because we both believe in Freedom, as G-d has created us to choose to love him, or not. If you have only one choice, that is not a choice!

I agree with this and we (gentile Christians) need to understand that being of Messiah does not mean "relinquishing all things Jewish"...as has been imposed over the centuries.
Or the negative view of the Law. Or that the Law has been done away with instead of fulfilled. Or that we have replaced Israel.
He desires us to be one, enmity between us destroyed on the cross:
Eph 2:14-16 CJB

Very well written Ripley's. There is a Place( Holy of Holies) where the G-d of Israel has another language for the same meaning, or another fulfilment for events happened!The fulfilment of the Son Of Man, we believe to be Christ Jesus. Also, Messiah can be interpreted as ; annointed; As King Saul was annointed by G-d, so Messiah is a undefined interpretation of Son of God to Judaism, though Jesus is Meschiack. Jesus usually refferred himself; Son of Man, but never Messiah. There are so many mis- translations
Rip, Robert, we may have a 'problem.' You may not be able to entice any debate, since you both have so well elucidated. My two pennies worth is to say: Well Said! (This has to be one of my shortest posts. Ha)
In Messiah, His Shalom, and wisdom. Arley

To ; a New Covenant; If you do not have a answer, as I only wondered how The Torah interprets this, as I seek the truth, maybe we should stick to the; Be Happy forum?

Isaiah 11;1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots; Do not believe with replacement Theology( Blashphemy)negative view
Replacement Theology has no place in our lifes as christians.
if it was true then what use for the book of revelation?
it mostly deals with israel and other nations
I have got an answer for New Covenant through Judaism. I see Deuteronomy33;19 as a shadow and type of New and Old, as Israel discovered Natural gas in the sea. Another event that took place in Old but has the same meaning for today. A layering, of beginning ,and present, and eternal, as is the G-d of Israel has ,and always will be G-d. I only seek what is the truth, and no other G-d than the G-d of Israel. If the New Testament does not completely fulfill the Old , then it is a lie, or men have mis-interpreted / Not G-d. If Jesus was just a prophet,and a good man, then He was not, He was a liar, and I believe the truth will be found that He( G-d) is who He said He was. No arguments,that is wrong; just lets find the answers? The New Covenant should re-enforce the Old , and I believe it has and is! It is in our Hearts written! My discussion began with Betya Medad; Eye of the Storm; This is not an easy post; Archive 4, and is still ongoing. Bless the Twelve Tribes of Israel, for they are G-d's chosen. Robert
Robert,
There seems to be a problem. You see, you cannot just "interpet" one verse. You must look at the entire concept. So what you should be looking at is:
Jeremiah 31:
27 Behold, the days come, saith HaShem, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.
28 And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down, and to overthrow and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them to build and to plant, saith HaShem.
29 In those days they shall say no more: 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.'
30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity; every man that eateth the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.
31 Behold, the days come, saith HaShem, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah;
32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; forasmuch as they broke My covenant, although I was a lord over them, saith HaShem.
33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith HaShem, I will put My law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their G-d, and they shall be My people;
34 and they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying: 'Know HaShem'; for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith HaShem; for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.
35 Thus saith HaShem, Who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, that the waves thereof roar, HaShem of hosts is His name:
36 If these ordinances depart from before Me, saith HaShem, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me for ever.37 Thus saith HaShem: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith HaShem.
According to Hashem, if you are still teaching everyone to "know G-d", then the New Covenant is not in place.
Well said Searchinmyroots, but I have found my quest not to change the Judaiac Faith, nor to expect to teach as percieved by many who look at the Christian Faith to convert, for as I see, I look into the deep rooted Faith of Judaism. I see the Eyes and Heart of G-d, and know the Veil is still not rent. Only by the New Covenant am I found Grace ; A Gentile; through the G-d of Israel upon His people first. But I look at this world , and see so much grief, and hate and division ,and corruption of Her leaders as they give away G-d' promised land; Israel, and not holding the covenant or even the Law of G-d, and see a perilous time is coming, though Israel shall always survive, by G-d's love,His bride. My bride Pam, weeps for weeks as she prays for Israel;speaking of Jeremiah weeping! G-d has laid a discernment upon her of men's souls, and of Him as He has shown her ;a unexplainable insight of heart how deeply G-d loves His people Israel, and will never leave them. When we see the prejudice, and unfairness, and attacks Israel is shown it hurts our hearts deeply. I know all do not know him yet, as Israel has not fully yet been restored as the flesh has formed ,but the breath of G-d has not yet fully breathed life into them. The key to this chapter is verse 34; for they shall all know me, and we know that is not yet true! Again I do not look to teach , but it seems the covenant has been set in place , but not yet completely fulfilled , but very near.I see a vision of New Jerusalem,that comes down from Heaven, with Twelve Gates with Twelve Angels, and upon those gates are the Twelve tribes of Israel, and all will know the G-d of Israel , and His peace shall reign, then I believe the covenant complete. So I do not wish to change you, but re-inforce your Faith that you do not fear the times to come, for He is with you always, and one day we shall see him clearly,and know the one G-d of Israel. We seek the same destination.I see Israel between Ezekial 37-38 which again speaks of the covenant.Again this is what I believe, and know I can not ,or want to change you.Only G-d , but I am still learning!
