I urge everyone to pray for our new President.

For wisdom and integrity.
For courage and strength.
For protection and peace.
I ask you, LORD, to bless him and his family, as well as our nation.
Amen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This *is* a historic day in America.
It takes me back to days when I heard a young boy (about 8) called names in public that no little boy should hear, by high school age racist bullies, only because of the color of his skin.
To a time when I was told that a very good, and well educated woman would not be promoted only because of the color of her skin.
To a time when I was chastized as a retail store manager (by neighboring store managers) because I had dared hire 2 black high school kids (of three new Christmas employees) because they WERE THE BEST OF THE APPLICANTS.
And ALL OF THOSE OCCASIONS happened in the mid-1980's. Long after Jim Crow had "ended", and Dr. King was assasinated.
I hope that THIS is the true beginning of Dr. King's Dream realized, and "our little children will be judged on the content of their character, not the color of their skin." It's a day I have long awaited. And THAT thought makes me tear up with hope and joy.
May God bless my precious country and her people.
The biggest like the media is spewing is that Obama is an African American.
He was raised by a white mother and white grandparents in Hawaii and Indonesia.
He chose african american as an identity later and married michel
I second that and add a big A M E N !
We need, now, to get behind, and support our leadership, dully elected, and sworn.  Let us be Americans, supporting America, and the Constitution of same.
If this Presidency should fail, which I pray it does not, let no part of that failure set at my door.  Amen
Well said, Ripley's!
We should be praying for our upcoming President.  I'm very curious to see how he will operate things.  I must be starting to lose my memory as my years gain on me but I don't remember too much about Bush's inaugerationEek  I thought it was a bit tacky how they "saw him out" with throwing shoes!Eek
The nation's first half African American and half caucasian President is a big deal to some; to me, I don't see the skin color but how he plans to service this country.  An exciting day in deed!Cheesygrin
Lord Jesus!
I pray for our new president Barak Husain Obama!
Save him Lord Jesus from his sin! Bring him to the truth of the gospel.
Lead Barak to obey Acts 2:38 and fill Him with YOUR Spirit Lord Jesus!
Open his understanding to your truth and you wisdom!
Bring him to a place of repentance for his involvement with Planned Parenthood and make it impossible for him to support abortion in anyway! In fact, Make him strong enough to openly refuse to continue to support abortion on demand!
Bring him to the understanding that our nation’s existence is blessed by our support of Israel! Cause Him to not turn his back on Jerusalem!
Give him the fortitude to continue the war on terror, to not force our troops to cut and run from the middle east!
Make Barak Obama a leader and not a follower of the liberal claptrap and the new-age flakes that surround him. Help him break away from their wicked hedonistic influence and foolish advice and let him Stand on YOUR WORD alone!
Give him divine wisdom to repair or nation's financial crisis so that America may resist the antichrist and remain the light of freedom to the world!
Prepare him to wisely deal with the deserters that will soon fall on our nation.
Let Barak do NOTHING to come against Your Spiritual Great Awakening that will soon be poured out upon our Nation!
I bind the enemy that has thus far ruled over his life!
Satan you will take you hands off of Barak Obama in Jesus’ Name!
You have no control!
And I speak a hedge of protection over him that the devel and his minions can never break through!
Send in the angels Lord Jesus!
In your name Lord Jesus I pray.
-Amen!
I agree; I couldn't care less what his skin color is. I care about
his morals, his ethics, his beliefs, and what he plans to do with
the country.
So  many people say we need to not judge some one by their skin
color, to no look at one's race, ethnicity, whatever.
Yet they are the first ones to run around making a big deal about
B.O. being black and being president.
If people were making such a deal about the first woman president,
or first Jewish president, personally I would be embarrassed.
Look at what the person is inside, not outside.
I pray in The name of mine Lord jesus that God will guide his judgments and that If will full him with his spirit and wisdom as he did with me.
I pray that His words will be like a sword against our enemy.
I pray for his protection and that God will preserve Him through his tribulations.
I pray that if he does not know Jesus he would come to know him  by faith through grace and not in any means of doing anything to earn God favor of salvation.
I pray This In Jesus name omen.
Me neither. As you all know I did not vote for him, but having NOTHING to do with his skin.
But I know that there are Americans who have never TRULY felt that they could attain anything, any level. Whether or not that was a victim mentality that has been played upon by politicians, is of no matter....THOSE DAYS ARE OVER. I want all to be able to say to all the kids I have at my house (neighborhood kids) that if they work hard, they can be anything THEY want...and for them to believe it.
Here's a conversation between me and a liberal friend on Sunday: "Obama energized and inspired young people to get out and vote!", he said.
I said, "BIG DEAL! Young people crowd to the latest star, or movie, or jeans...it's the older black Americans who have never voted that he REALLY inspired. Jesse Jackson did not bring out that bloc when he ran for president. Barack did." I want all Americans to share equally in America, to "own" it. Our triumphs and our faults.
I went to an Obama party last night, and met a 74 yr old black man who was raised in Mississippi. He spoke for a few minutes...I can only imagine what this means to him, as I cannot fully say I share the same experiences...but I am glad that NOW all can know that we are in this boat together. And we will see this President make good decisions and bad...after all, he is just a man.
Which is why *I* will pray for him every day, just as I did for President Bush.
Pray for Our new President.
Yeah, we are going to need it. Specially with a President name "Hussein".
"Oh, God of Israel....Please help us. We have president named Hussein." Lol!
Yeah... I make jokes.... But God is just making me understand. The greatest is Love. Love overcomes. Love never fails......And covers a multitude of sins. I gotta do it..........
I still have Problem with this guy...... But I will Pray....Eek
Hey, somebody pray for me........
I just hope that it doesn't turn into a "racial" issue of our Commander In Chief.  From either side.  White, Black, Mexican, Chinese....G-d has created each one and I could care less what color they are. All blood is red. I respect any President regardless of race or color providing that they service this country in the manner and with the respect it is to be served.  The biggest problem I do have with Obama is that he never spent any time in the US military (that I am aware of) and I think that should be an absolute REQUIREMENT for ANY US President elect.  I am thankful that his mom and grandma raised him to believe he could achieve any dream unlike his deadbeat dad who abandoned him.
I will be anxious to see what the opinions of him will be in about 6 months.Cheesygrin
